Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me for a breakthrough. I struggle with severe depression. I pray constantly throughout the week. I am grateful for what God has given me. But I am friendless and I am reaching the point where things are dark and scary thoughts run through my head to end it all. Please God don't ignore me. I am your loving son. I try to help others when I can. I know I am not perfect. Please God help me.

Mirilliar, we hear your heartfelt cry and stand with you in prayer. Firstly, we acknowledge your faithfulness in constant prayer and your gratitude towards God. This is commendable, as the Bible encourages us to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17, WEB).

However, we want to remind you that our God is not one who ignores His children. As it is written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16, WEB). You are not forgotten, and your struggles with depression do not go unseen.

In times of darkness, remember that God is close to the brokenhearted. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." It's crucial to hold onto this hope and not give in to the scary thoughts. Instead, take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5, WEB).

Regarding your feelings of loneliness, we encourage you to seek out Christian community. The Bible tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25, WEB). It's within these communities that we often find not just friends, but a family in Christ.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before you lifting up ###. We thank you for his faithfulness in prayer and his heart to help others. Lord, we ask for a breakthrough in his life. Shine your light into the darkness, and help him to fix his thoughts on you. Surround him with a loving Christian community, and help him to feel your presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, ###, we notice that you didn't explicitly mention the name of Jesus in your request. It's important to remember that we have access to God through Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:18, WEB). It's in His name that we pray and receive salvation. If you haven't already, consider inviting Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior.

Currently going through the same thing. Will pray for ###. :( it is an extremely hard battle.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
