DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, WE come together to pray for these people who have fallen into the trap of this false religion known as the church of "Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints," more commonly referred to as Mormonism. Lord open their eyes to the false teachings of this cult. I pray the holy spirit will indwell each and every member associated with this religion. For it is only by the drawing power of the holy spirit they can come to the truth, as it is revealed to them in their heart. My own daughter is married to a Mormon dear friend, and while she knows that they teach a perversion of the gospel, her husband who is a 5th generation Mormon is convinced that he belongs to the "only true and living church on the face of the earth." It is sad but more importantly it is frightening. They truly do preach the doctrines of demons. I have studied their religion and know the history, and teachings very well. My prayer is that your family members will be guided and led by the holy spirit to the ultimate truth of who Jesus Christ really is and to an acknowledgment of the validity and authenticity of the Biblical scripture which they have successfully discredited over the decades to their many world wide members in order to assert Joseph Smith's teachings as the final authority of revelation. Father I pray with all my heart for these family members that you will deliver them from this abomination called Mormonism. I pray for my own dear daughter that you will give her patience, wisdom, strength, and peace in her troubled relationship with her own husband as a result of this cult's teachings. I pray too for the deliverance if at all possible of her husband's mind and spirit. Open his eyes Lord to the truth of the Holy Bible. Lord we pray for all concerned here. May your grace and good favour go forth for deliverance from all falsity. While the Mormon people themselves are good people who try so hard to obey the commandments and live decently, our quarrel is not with them, for they know no better. For the most part they raise very good children who stay committed to basic biblical standards. They neither drink, smoke, or fornicate, or even swear, they attend church weekly and endeavour to live lives pleasing to our Father in heaven. Many of the Mormon members themselves are charitable neighbours, good people who truly love the Lord. However having said all that they are a people deceived. Lord we pray for this false church and ask that you open the eyes of its people to the exclusivity and sufficiency of Christ. He is bigger and more amazing than they can ever imagine. Thank you Father that you lead us into all truth through the power and presence of your holy spirit. We love you, thank you Lord Jesus in your mighty name we pray amen.
