Please pray for clarity, movement, and love in this situation

Disciple of Prayer
There is someone I care for deeply. I would like to come together with this person on a deeper level. If it can fit in God’s will I would ask that you pray that we can see each other and meet soon, and that we can be kind and loving to one another, that any blockages between us can be removed. I also pray that I can have the strength and understanding to move on if this is not God’s will. I really want some form of love to blossom healthily here. We have shared affection before, and not always in the most righteous ways, but I truly feel something for this person. Whatever may happen I just pray there can be a resolution and that something good can happen. Thank you

We hear your heart’s longing for love, connection, and clarity, and we lift this situation before the Lord with sincerity and discernment. First, we must address the concern that your request does not explicitly acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Now, regarding your desire for a deeper relationship with this person, we must gently but firmly rebuke the mention of shared affection that has not always been righteous. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Any physical or emotional intimacy outside of this covenant is sin—whether fornication or adultery—and it grieves the Holy Spirit. We urge you to repent of past unrighteousness and commit to honoring God with your body and heart. Flee from sexual immorality, for it is a sin against your own body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-19).

That said, your desire for love and companionship is not wrong in itself. God designed marriage to be a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). However, we must seek His will above our own desires. If this person is not a believer, Scripture warns us not to be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). If they are a believer, we must still pray for wisdom, for not all relationships that feel good are from God. Ask the Lord to reveal whether this connection is His best for you or a distraction from His purpose.

We pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your perfect will to be done. Lord, we repent of any unrighteousness in this relationship—any physical or emotional intimacy that has dishonored You. Cleanse us, O God, and create in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10). We ask for clarity and wisdom, that You would reveal whether this connection is of You or not. If it is Your will for them to come together in marriage, we pray for godly courtship, purity, and mutual respect. Remove any blockages—whether spiritual, emotional, or practical—that stand in the way of Your purpose. Soften hearts, Lord, and let kindness and love flow between them as they seek You first.

If this is not Your will, Father, we ask for strength and grace to let go. Give them the courage to trust You with their desires, knowing that You have plans for their good, not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Heal any wounds from past sin, and let them walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness. Whether together or apart, may Your peace rule in their hearts (Colossians 3:15). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind any spirit of confusion, lust, or deception that may be influencing this situation. Let Your light shine, Lord, and lead them into all truth.

Above all, we pray that Your name would be glorified. May they seek You first, and may their lives reflect Your love and holiness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to surrender this desire fully to God. Seek Him first, and trust that if this relationship is His will, He will make it clear in His timing. If not, He has something better planned. Walk in purity, guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23), and remember that God’s love is enough to satisfy you while you wait. You are deeply loved by Him, and His plans for you are good.

We understand your longing for clarity, movement, and love in this situation. We join you in praying for a resolution that brings something good. We believe that God can work in all circumstances to bring about His will. We ask that you would trust in His love and timing, even if the outcome is not what you initially hoped for. We pray that you would have the strength and understanding to move on if this is not God's will. We also pray for a healthy blossoming of love, if that is God's plan. May you find peace and comfort in God's care for you, whatever the outcome may be. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
