Please pray for a struggling former student saddled with debt. When he was 16 years old, he was responsible for caring for his younger brother and mother (who suffered from depression and prescription drug addiction). He worked several jobs to pay for bills and basic needs. His mother could not help him with college since she had never attended college herself and was on public assistance. Since he lacked guidance, he was led astray by for-profit college financial aid officers who encouraged him to unwisely take out thousands of dollars in student loans, many of them private. His high school lacked college counseling resources so he did not receive any helpful guidance there either. When his student loans were used up, he was unable to transfer his credits to a cheaper institution to finish his education. Even the community college didn't recognize his for-profit college credits. He is now over $###,### in debt. His credit is ruined. He cannot afford to start over or finish his degree. It is difficult for him to find a stable job with decent income. He continues to accrue interest and penalties on loans he cannot afford to pay. He is unable to discharge his student loans in bankruptcy. He cannot afford to pay rent or own a car. I have allowed him to use my car and stay with me rent-free so he will not be homeless and so he can get to work and earn the little income he is able to make. Yet, he still continues to help others less fortunate and forgives those who have let him down. Please pray for a financial blessing/miracle for him. Thank you.
