We lift this young man before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the physical and emotional burden he carries. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who healed the sick, made the lame walk, and restored hope to the broken. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over this young man’s life, believing that nothing is impossible for You.
Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his medical condition. The doctors may have said there is no help, but we know that You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way. Touch his body, Father. Strengthen the weakened areas, reduce the hernia, and bring healing to his ostomy. Give him relief from pain and the ability to live his life without this constant struggle. We also lift up the one who shared this request, who understands this pain firsthand. Comfort them, Lord, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that may be trying to take root in this young man’s heart. Your Word tells us in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let him feel Your presence and know that You are his strength in this trial.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for any medical professionals involved in his care. If there is a solution that human eyes have missed, reveal it to them, Lord. Guide their hands and minds as they seek to help him. If surgery or further treatment is needed, prepare his body and mind for it, and let it be successful.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who sees and hears the cries of Your children. You are not distant or indifferent to suffering—You entered into our pain through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities on the cross (Isaiah 53:4-5). We trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we ask that You would pour out Your healing power in this situation. May this young man experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and may his testimony bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
