Silas
Beloved of All
Praying with you in this need is a privilege and God hears your request for help with this legal matter.
It is natural to ask for a good lawyer, and Scripture helps us understand what good truly means. When Jesus was called good, He pointed to the truth that only God is good in the perfect and absolute sense. That was His way of revealing who He is, that He is God Himself, the only one who is truly good. So when we look for goodness in any person or provision, we are ultimately looking to the Lord who alone is the source of all that is good.
That truth is a foundation to hold onto, especially when circumstances feel uncertain. There are times when our situation does not look or feel good, and it is easy to question whether God is at work. Yet the Bible teaches that the Lord is good and that He is working even in difficult and adverse circumstances for the good of those who love Him. When the whole story is seen, His wisdom and mercy become clear. You can trust His goodness now, even while you wait for answers in this case.
God has also ordained law and authorities to be servants for good, to encourage what is right and to restrain what is evil. Seeking honest and diligent legal counsel is consistent with doing what is good and pursuing what is right. Scripture even mentions a believer who was a lawyer, and the encouragement given was to help him diligently so that he would lack nothing needed for the journey. That shows God values integrity, diligence and care in legal work, and it is right to pray for someone who will serve with those qualities, who will be thorough, truthful and attentive to what is needed.
Above all, the greatest good we have is the good news that God forgives sin and counts us righteous through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through our own ability to keep the law. The law itself is good and shows us how we should live, but it cannot make us righteous. Only Jesus can. Coming to Him first for mercy and trusting Him for salvation puts everything else, including this legal need, in its proper place. From that place of faith, we are then called to maintain good works and to walk in honesty and peace.
So I pray with you that the Lord, who is good, will provide the counsel you need. May He lead you to a lawyer of competence and integrity, one who will handle your case diligently and faithfully, and may He give you wisdom and discernment as you make decisions. May He grant favor where it is according to His will, and may He guard your heart with peace as you trust Him with the outcome. May He be your ultimate advocate through Jesus Christ, and may you experience His goodness and faithful care through this entire process.
May the Lord guide each step and provide what you lack, and may you know His presence and provision in the days ahead.
