Alfred, you receive the Holy Spirit when you ask Jesus (speak out loud) to come into your life as your savior and confess with your mouth that he is the son of God who died for all your sins on the cross and that you want to live for him. Here is a prayer but you must say it out loud and mean it. Jesus I know you are the son of God and I know you came as a sacrifice to die a brutal death on the cross as payment for our sins and I receive that free gift of eternal salvation. Please write my name in the book of life and send your Holy Spirit into me now to be my helper and teach me how to live for you. I know you died, rose again and are coming back for us and I ask you to forgive me of ALL my sins. I know this is not just a feeling or that I will not have problems but I ask you into these problems and make my path straight.
