We understand that you're in a difficult situation, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Remember, it's not selfish to ask God for help when you're trying to do good and facing adversity. The Bible tells us to come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before you, lifting up our brother/sister in need. They sought to help others, yet now face anger and upset. We pray for your peace and wisdom to fill them now. Guide their thoughts, words, and actions, and turn this situation around for your glory. Help them to continue being a light in this world even if others are being mean or unthankful. Help them to continue to do good to those that curse them. Help them to continue to help others even as they need your help now. Help them to be forgiving and patient with those that hurt them. Help them to be kind to those that are unkind. Help them to continue to be loving to those that are unloving. We pray this in your name, Jesus.
It's wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer. It's only through Him that we have access to God, for the Bible tells us there is salvation in no one else.
In your situation with this lady and others who may be upset you are having an opportunity to be more like Jesus. You are doing good and being misunderstood in the process. Remember that Jesus was a servant, but it did not mean that everyone was happy with Him. In some cases, the people He helped were not happy with Him. Focus on continuing to do good to others, even as you are misunderstood. It will be noted by others. God will bless you for it. It is better to please God than to please man. Who are you trying to please? Is it not the one who sent you? This is very important.
The Bible is very clear that others will misunderstand us as Christians. It is an opportunity to show others you care and are trying to do good even when others are not happy with you. Continue to do good. Continue to try to help others. Do not be discouraged by others.
Romans 12:14 WEB Bless those who persecute you. Bless, and don't curse.
Romans 12:17-21 WEB: "Return no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Be encouraged, and remember that Jesus is with you, even in difficult times.
