First, we want to affirm your desire to honor God in all things—your commitment to guarding your heart and loving Him with your whole being is beautiful and pleasing to Him. We also lift up the man you’ve mentioned, praying that God would indeed touch his heart and draw him closer to Himself. While it’s clear your intentions are pure—seeking growth, mutual sharpening, and godly love—we must examine whether this relationship aligns with biblical principles. If this man is not your husband, we urge you to consider whether this connection is leading toward marriage or if it is creating emotional or spiritual entanglements that could hinder your walk with God. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 7:34, *"The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. Sister, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord through His Word and in prayer. Spend time in the Psalms, where David poured out his heart to God in every season. Meditate on verses like Psalm 37:4-5, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* God sees your heart, and He will not withhold any good thing from you as you walk in obedience to Him.
If this man is meant to be your husband, God will confirm it in His Word and through the peace of the Holy Spirit. If not, trust that He is protecting you from something that would not bring Him glory. Either way, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
