Your request has been heard and we join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and our true freedom.
You have described heavy and troubled dreams, fears of being watched, controlled, moved and confined, and a sense of having no freedom or rights, with many people causing confusion and distress. We understand how fearful the night can feel when such images press upon the mind, and how the question rises, why will God not help me. Hear this comfort from the Scriptures. This present life is like a sleep and the things that terrify us in dreams pass away like dreams. A person who sees something shameful or frightening in a dream is not bound by it when he awakes, and riches gained in a dream are found to be nothing in the morning. In the same way, these nightmares have no power in themselves to bind you or your loved ones, to take away your freedom, or to determine your future. They fly away, but Christ remains.
With freedom Christ set us free, therefore stand fast. You were bought with a price, the cross and blood of our Lord, and for that reason you are not to be the servant of men or of fear. True freedom is not that no trouble ever touches us, but that virtue and faith in Christ keep the soul free even when outward pressures remain. He can make a person more honorable and more secure as a free person even while others try to control or insult. When fear rises, remember the purpose of the cross, fill your mind with courage, and make your soul free by trusting the One who paid the ransom for you. He has already wrought your deliverance, and His goodness does not abandon those who call upon Him.
So we pray for you and for your close relations in the victorious name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ Your Son who alone saves, we ask for Your mercy and protection over this soul and over all close family. Grant quiet sleep and peace at night, and take away fear, confusion and every troubling dream. Let no nightmare have power to control, accuse or torment, and let no other person have a grip or unjust control over them. Break every work that is wrong and bring what is hidden into the light, and deal with every injustice according to Your righteousness. Give freedom that comes from Christ, so that even in hardship they may stand fast and not be moved by fear. Provide for their daily needs according to Your wisdom, teach them to seek first Your kingdom, to work faithfully and to use what You supply for health and for good, spending their strength on spiritual things and not on anxious desires. Comfort the heart that asks why You do not help, and show that You are near, that You hear, and that You will not forsake those who trust in Your Son. Guard them, keep them in Your hand, and lead them into peace and wholeness. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has bought us with a great price. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, in His Word, and in a faithful church, turning from fear to trust, and from anxious thoughts to virtue and prayer. If these dreams and fears continue to weigh heavily, seek also wise pastoral care and, where needed, help from trusted people near you, so you are not alone. The Lord is faithful and He will keep you as you abide in Him.
