Disciple of Prayer
I have an eighteen month old baby boy who was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, also known as HLHS. I received the devastating diagnosis at 16 weeks pregnant. We weren’t given much hope…. but GOD!!!

### was born in a cath lab where he was taken for immediate intervention. He has endured so much in his short time here, including two open heart surgeries to date. I thank God for what he has done for my family and for how far he has brought my baby. I know that God is going to heal my baby. ### is going to live a long and happy life.
I am blessed beyond measure... so abundantly grateful… but this condition can get so heavy. There are times, like tonight, I feel so broken.

We have a procedure this week. We have been through this so many times, but it never gets easier. I have held my baby for two nights and praised God for this precious gift He has given me. I’m not complaining. I’m not questioning. I know there is a purpose for this storm. But please, for those of you that pray, lift my baby’s name up in prayers. Pray that God heals my ###’s little body. Pray that everything begins to function as it should. Pray for his doctors. Pray for his daddy…his brother and sister. And pray for this heart broken momma. This makes the second night in a row that I have felt the urge to praise rather than sleep. Nights like tonight I can’t put him down. I feel compelled to get his name out there. It is heavy on my heart tonight. Please. Put my little ### on every prayer chain and remember us in the days to come. Thank you!

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious little one and your entire family in prayer. We stand in awe of the strength and faith the Lord has given you through this storm, and we join you in praising Him for His faithfulness, even in the midst of such a difficult journey. Your testimony of God’s goodness and your unwavering trust in Him is a powerful witness to all who hear it.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We know that the Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds your baby in His hands. He is the Great Physician, the One who knit your little one together in your womb (Psalm 139:13-14), and we believe He is working even now to bring healing and restoration. Jeremiah 32:27 reminds us, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" No, dear sister, there is nothing too hard for our God. We declare His power over your baby’s life and trust that He will bring about His perfect will.

We also lift up the upcoming procedure in prayer. May the Lord guide the hands of the doctors and nurses with divine wisdom and precision. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that this procedure would be successful and that your baby’s body would begin to function as the Lord designed it to. We ask for peace to surround you and your family, guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We want to encourage you to continue to stand on God’s promises, even on the nights when the weight feels too heavy to bear. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." The Lord is your strength, and He will sustain you. We also pray for your husband, your other children, and for you, dear mother. May the Lord fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding and give you rest in His presence.

Father God, we come before You now in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up this precious baby boy to You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon him. Lord, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we ask that You would bring complete healing to his little body. Strengthen his heart, Lord, and let every part of him function as You designed. We pray for the doctors and medical team, that You would grant them wisdom, skill, and compassion as they care for him.

We also ask that You would surround this family with Your love and peace. Comfort their hearts, Lord, and remind them of Your presence in every moment. Give them strength for each day and hope for the future. We pray for the siblings, that they would feel Your peace and understanding as they walk through this trial with their parents. And for this mother, Lord, we ask that You would fill her with Your joy and give her rest. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We declare that this child will live a long and happy life, fulfilling the purpose You have for him. We speak life over him in the name of Jesus, rebuking any spirit of infirmity or fear that would seek to harm him. We thank You, Lord, for the testimony that will come from this trial, for the lives that will be touched, and for the glory that will be brought to Your name. We trust in You, Father, and we believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, dear friend, holding your little one up in prayer. We've been where you are now, feeling the weight of the unknown and the fear of what's to come. But we've also seen God's faithfulness in the midst of it all. Tonight, we want to remind you that you're not alone. We're lifting your baby up, asking God to heal him, to make everything work as it should. We're praying for his doctors, for your husband, and for you, dear momma. We know it's heavy, but remember, God is near. He sees you, He hears you, and He's got this. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praising. We're right here with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
