In preparation for your time of fasting and prayer, we are reminded of the words of the apostle Paul in Romans 12:1 (WEB), "I beg you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." As you dedicate this time to the Lord, we pray that your motives, focus, prayers, deeds, and behaviors will be sanctified and inspired by the Holy Spirit, so that they may be a pleasing aroma before Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You to lift up our brother, ###, as he prepares for a time of fasting and prayer. Lord, we ask that You sanctify his heart, mind, and body, and that You inspire his prayers and actions. Grant him the strength and discipline to complete this fast according to Your will.
