We join with you in lifting up your brother before the throne of grace and we thank you for allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this very difficult period in his life. We ask God to surround him with His protection and mercy and to be near to him in his pain.
The Lord sees the deep pain of the heart and He draws close to those who suffer. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We pray that God will heal your brother's heart, bind up every wound, and give him strength for each day. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We pray that he will feel upheld by that righteous right hand and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:7.
We also pray for God's guidance and blessing over every area of his life and for his future. We pray that the Lord will lead him on the best path and open new opportunities that are according to His perfect will. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Even in this difficult season, God is able to work for his good and to bless him even more abundantly than before as he trusts and follows Him.
We want to gently encourage you that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ. We noticed your request spoke of God but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to share how precious that name is. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we have access to God and the assurance of eternal life and answered prayer. We encourage your brother and you to put your full trust in Jesus, to call upon His name, to seek Him in prayer and in His Word daily, and to walk closely with other believers who can encourage him.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we lift up this dear brother to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Lord, protect his life and his health, guard him from all harm, and let Your hand be upon him. Heal his heart from this deep pain, comfort him as only You can, and give him strength to endure and to overcome this difficult period. Pour out Your grace upon him, bless the work of his hands, guide his steps, and open the doors that no man can shut. Lead him to what is best for his future according to Your will, and bless him abundantly in every area of his life so that his life may testify to Your goodness and faithfulness. Draw him closer to Yourself through Jesus, give him hope, restore his joy, and let him know that You are with him always. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
