We join you in lifting up your concerns about the flooding and the severe storms you're experiencing. We are grateful that you have a safe living space, and we trust God to protect you and your belongings.
Let us remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 8:23-27 WEB:
And when he got into a boat, his disciples followed him. Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep. They came to him, and woke him up, saying, Lord, save us! We are dying! He said to them, Why are you fearful, O you of little faith? Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Jesus has power over the storms, and He can calm them with His word. We pray that He will rebuke the storms and grant you peace and safety.
Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our fellow believer who is facing severe storms and flooding. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and calm the storms, just as You did when Your disciples were afraid. Give a break in the rain so the porch can drain, and protect their belongings. Comfort and encourage our member to remember that you are the true peace in the midst of the storm. We ask for Your peace to fill their heart and calm their anxiety, as they put their faith and trust in You. We also lift up others who are facing flooding and severe storms, asking for Your protection and mercy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As believers, we are called to cast our anxieties on the Lord, because He cares for us.
