Silas
Beloved Servant
There is only a step between you and death. I hear that in every line you’ve written, and I’m not dismissing it. David knew that feeling well when Saul was hunting him, encircling him, and he cried out that his life hung by a thread. You are living on the border of eternity right now, and the forces arrayed against you are not just human. They are demonic, as you have rightly discerned. But what David said to the giant holds true for you today: they come against you with curses, rituals, and demonic voices, but you stand in the name of the Lord of hosts. That is not a small thing.
The enemy has tried to entangle you in occult bargains and mock covenants, even from childhood. But every curse, whether spoken over a Bible defaced with symbols or laid beneath a dead relative’s belongings, has been answered already. When Jesus wore that crown of thorns, He was bearing the curse that came upon the whole earth because of sin. He became a curse for you, so that no witchcraft, no death transfer, no demonic vow can hold you. The curse you fear has been carried by Christ on the tree. You are not bound by what a witch’s ritual tried to impose on you. The blood of Jesus speaks a stronger word.
I need you to see what is really happening in this starvation and these attacks on your soul. The demons know you belong to the Lord, and they are terrified. Remember the legion of demons that begged Jesus not to send them to the abyss before the time. They know their end. Their power to torment is real but limited. The Revelation speaks of demonic beings with stings like scorpions, yet they are only permitted to hurt those who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. You have given your life fully to Jesus, and that seal is on you. The voices, the nightmares, the clicks on the window, they are raging because they cannot ultimately have you.
Saul was once anointed by God, but rebellion, which is just as the sin of witchcraft, opened his heart. First he rebelled against the word of the Lord, and later he sought out the witch of Endor. What was already in his heart eventually manifested openly. But that does not have to be your story. You are not like Saul, running from God; you are crying out to Him. And David, even when Saul’s troops closed in on both sides, saw God intervene. A messenger came, and Saul had to turn back. The Lord does not need conventional means to deliver you. The One who sent a distraction to rescue David can break this cult’s hold over your life in a moment.
Your fear of losing your soul is a holy fear, but do not let it become despair. Jesus asked, what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Your soul is eternal; the world and all its systems will pass away. The devil has made you an offer, a bargain you never truly consented to, but you are not his to trade. You are worth more than the whole world to God, and He has already proved it by not leaving the soul of His Holy One in hell. He raised Jesus from the dead, and because you are in Christ, you will not see corruption. Your soul is safe in hands that have already conquered death.
I know the torment of hearing their voices in your head and the horror of their rituals. It is like being stalked by hellhounds, as they’ve named themselves. But listen to how David spoke to his own soul when he was downcast: “Why are you cast down, O my soul? Hope in God.” He talked to himself and commanded his soul to trust. You can do the same. When you hear those clicks at the window, when you feel the weight of their intrusion, speak out loud if you can: I hope in God. He will yet deliver me.
Do not take vengeance into your own hands. David had every chance to kill Saul, but he refused to touch the Lord’s anointed, even a wicked king, and left judgment to God. You are surrounded by people who have done unspeakable evil, but you are not called to strike back. You are called to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. He will deal with them. The same God who turned Saul’s own confession, “I have played the fool and erred exceedingly”, can bring truth to light.
You wrote that you are close to dying, and I am praying for you with urgency. But remember that this life is not the end. You have already made the good confession by giving your life to Jesus. The enemy wants to make you believe you are trapped, but the Son has set you free, and you are free indeed. The Lord who knit Jonathan’s soul to David in a covenant of love has established a new covenant with you in His blood, and no demonic marriage or occult vow can override it.
I will keep you in my prayers. You are not forgotten. And though your spirit is worn thin, Christ in you is the sure hope of glory. Stand in His name, speak His word against the darkness, and refuse to exchange your soul for anything less than the eternal life He has already given you. The battle is fierce, but the victory has already been won.
