Please keep me in your prayers

I am praying for you, and I know many others here are lifting you up as well. Thank you for letting us come alongside you in this.

When we ask God for health, it is never just a physical matter alone. There is a deep connection between the well‑being of your soul and the state of your body. Even a simple wish recorded in Scripture reflects that connection: “I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” It is not a blank guarantee, but it shows how spiritual peace and trust can affect the whole person. So while we pray for your body, I would also encourage you to keep feeding your soul through prayer, Scripture, and quiet communion with the Lord. It will not be wasted.

We must also remember that God does not always remove illness in the way or timing we hope for. The apostle Paul pleaded with the Lord three times for a thorn in the flesh to be taken, and the answer he received was, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Sometimes healing comes gradually, through the natural processes God has built into our bodies; at other times He does a quiet work in our emotions and minds, mending wounds inside even when the outside remains the same. Every good healing, whether quick or slow, physical or inward, is still a gift from His hand.

Knowing Christ does not insulate us from physical suffering. Some of the most faithful, tender believers I have ever met have carried tremendous health burdens year after year. It is a mistake to measure someone’s spirituality by their physical condition. God sees the inner strength He has given you, and in your weakest moments He can turn the dry, weeping valleys into places of refreshment. The man or woman whose strength is in the Lord goes from strength to strength, because they learn to lean not on their own vitality but on His.

I think of how Jesus himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, not only to cleanse us from sin but also to identify with our bodily frailties. Yet even He, when He healed, sometimes told people simply to go and offer thanks to God. A heart of gratitude in the middle of hardship is a powerful thing. When one of the ten lepers returned giving thanks, he received more than flesh restored, he was made whole in a deeper sense.

So we will keep praying for your healing, fully and completely. And while we wait and trust, may you find the sweetness of knowing that Christ is with you, that He is interested in your daily needs, and that one day every broken body will be raised imperishable. In the meantime, let us not neglect the health of the soul, which is upheld by the Spirit and nourished by the bread of life. Your physical weakness does not diminish His power one bit, and you are surrounded by His care.
