We lift you up before the Lord with a heart full of compassion and concern for your health. The Bible reminds us in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." We stand on this promise as we intercede on your behalf, asking God to restore your body, renew your strength, and bring healing to every part of you.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. We ask that You lay Your healing hands upon our brother/sister and touch them with Your restoring power. Lord, we know that Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over their life today.
We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals involved in their care, that You would guide their hands and minds as they seek to bring about healing. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in You with all our hearts and not lean on our own understanding. So, we surrender this situation into Your capable hands, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You.
Lord, we ask that You would also strengthen their faith during this time. Help them to draw near to You, to find comfort in Your presence, and to trust in Your unfailing love. Psalm 41:3 says, "Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness." We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
We also want to gently encourage you to examine your heart and life, ensuring that there is no unconfessed sin that may be hindering your healing. James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We are here to support you in prayer and encouragement, but we also urge you to seek God’s face and His will for your life.
Lastly, we want to remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
We continue to stand in the gap for you, believing for your complete restoration and healing. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
