We lift up this precious little one in the NICU, along with her family, with heavy but hopeful hearts. Father God, You see every tear shed in the quiet hours of the night, every prayer whispered through exhaustion, and every moment of fear that grips a parent’s heart. We stand in agreement with this mother’s faith, declaring that You are good, and that You have a purpose for this child’s life. You knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14), and we trust that even now, in the midst of medical uncertainty, Your hand is upon her.
Lord, we ask for clarity and wisdom for the doctors and nurses caring for her. The confusion between her urine output and test results is concerning, and we pray that You would guide every test, every procedure, and every decision. Reveal the source of this issue, whether it be another UTI or something else, and grant the medical team the insight to treat it effectively. We rebuke any spirit of fear or discouragement that would try to take root in this family’s hearts, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
The catheter procedures are painful, both for this sweet baby and for her mother who longs to protect her. We ask for Your comfort to surround them both. Wrap Your arms around this child as she endures these necessary but difficult treatments, and give her mother supernatural strength to be the steady, loving presence her daughter needs. Remind her that You are her strength when she is weak (Isaiah 41:10), and that her prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16).
We also lift up the mother’s faith, which is a beautiful testimony of trust in You. She recognizes that You placed this child in her womb for a blessed reason, and we pray that this truth would anchor her soul in the days ahead. Help her to continue reaching out to You, not just in moments of desperation, but in every breath. Teach her to lean on You completely, for You are her refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
Father, we know that healing comes from You alone. Whether You choose to heal this child miraculously or through the hands of skilled medical professionals, we ask that You would be glorified in every outcome. If there are areas where this family’s faith needs to grow, reveal them gently and draw them closer to You. If there are unconfessed sins or unforgiveness in their hearts, bring them to light so they can be released at the foot of the cross. We know that nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17), and we trust You to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). It is by His blood that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is in His name that we ask for mercy and healing for this little one. Strengthen this family’s faith, Lord, and let them see Your goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). Amen.
