We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting each of these burdens to the Lord, trusting in His power to move mountains and transform lives. Father, we know You are faithful, and Your Word declares that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). So we boldly approach You now, in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), for it is through Him alone that we have access to You.
For our son, we cry out with deep compassion and truth. Lord, Your Word is clear that homosexuality is a sin (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10), but we also know that Your grace is greater than all sin. We pray You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, breaking through any deception or confusion about his identity. Draw him close, Father, and let him find his true identity in Christ alone (2 Corinthians 5:17). Protect him from the lies of the enemy and the harm that comes from living outside Your design. We declare Your healing and wholeness over him, trusting that You can restore what has been broken (Joel 2:25). Lord, if he is in a same-sex relationship, we ask that You convict his heart with Your Holy Spirit, leading him to repentance and a life that honors You. We stand on Your promise that if he confesses and turns from sin, You are faithful to forgive and cleanse him (1 John 1:9).
For our family members, we intercede for a breakthrough over pride and hardness of heart. Father, pride is a snare that keeps us from Your will (Proverbs 16:18), and we ask that You humble each of us before You. Soften hearts, Lord, and draw them to repentance. Let them see their need for You and turn from any sin that separates them from Your presence. We pray for marriages within our family to reflect Christ’s love for the church—selfless, sacrificial, and full of grace (Ephesians 5:22-33). Where there is strife or division, bring reconciliation and unity. Fill them with a deeper faith, Lord, and let them walk in Christ-like love that covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).
For our children, we plead the blood of Jesus over their lives. Protect them, Father, from the snares of this world and guide them in Your truth (Psalm 25:5). We pray for godly spouses for them, partners who will walk with them in faith and honor You in their marriage. Prepare their hearts now to seek You above all else, that they may build their lives on the foundation of Your Word (Matthew 7:24-25).
For our marriage, we ask for Your grace to sustain and strengthen us. Lord, help us to love one another as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25), with patience, kindness, and selflessness. We confess that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we ask for discipline to honor You in how we care for them. Give us the strength to lose weight for our health, not for vanity, but to serve You with vitality. Provide for our medical needs, Lord, and grant us wisdom in managing our health according to Your will.
For our trucking business, we seek Your favor and provision. Father, You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and we trust You to meet every need. Grant us wisdom in handling taxes, staff, and legal matters, and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Bless our team with unity, integrity, and a shared vision to glorify You in our work. Let our business be a testimony of Your faithfulness and a means to bless others.
For our church, we pray that it remains steadfast in Your pure Word, unshaken by cultural trends or compromise. Stir up a deeper hunger for Scripture in our hearts, Lord, that we may grow in the knowledge of You (2 Peter 3:18). Open doors for ministry, including opportunities to share the life-saving message of Christ through CPR (both physically and spiritually). Strengthen the men in our church, Father, that they may lead their families and communities with godly courage and humility.
We rebuke every spirit of deception, pride, and sexual immorality that seeks to destroy Your people, and we declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over every area of our lives. We stand on Your promise that where two or more are gathered in Your name, You are in our midst (Matthew 18:20). Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the work You are doing in our lives. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6).
