We join with you in Jesus' name and we lift up your unspoken request before the throne of grace, for we know that our Father hears even what is not spoken aloud. We understand the hurt you have felt when others have mocked or belittled your prayer, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord's mercy and His perfect will.
We are encouraged by your faith to believe that your prayer is heard and answered, and we are reminded of the promise in Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. And also in 1 John 5:14 This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. We hold fast to the truth that with God all things are possible as it says in Matthew 19:26 With God all things are possible, and nothing is too hard for Him, whether it be parting the Red Sea or meeting the deepest need of your heart. At the same time we rest in His wisdom, knowing He answers according to what is best for us and in His perfect timing.
We take comfort that God does not need eloquent or public words to know our needs. Psalm 139:4 says Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether, and Matthew 6:8 reminds us that your Father knows what things you need before you ask him. And when words fail us, Romans 8:26 tells us that the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. So we are confident that your unspoken prayer is fully known to Him, and He will deal with it according to His loving kindness. Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
We also want to gently encourage you regarding those you felt mocked your prayer. It is painful when sincere faith is ridiculed, but we are called to guard our own hearts against bitterness and to leave judgment to the Lord, for He sees all motives. Proverbs 16:2 says All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but Yahweh weighs the motives, and 1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us that Yahweh does not see as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. We are called to humility and not to seek self praise, for James 4:6 says God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble, and Jesus calls us in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. We pray that any hurt would be healed and that you would be protected from discouragement, and we also pray for those who may have spoken against you, that the Lord would work in their hearts as well.
We pray together now for you.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You with our brother in need of Your mercy. Lord, You know the unspoken request that weighs so heavily on this heart, every detail, every hope and fear. We ask that You would have mercy and that You would move according to Your perfect will and unfailing love. Grant increased faith to believe and to trust even when the answer is not yet seen, and grant peace that surpasses understanding as described in Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Heal any wound caused by harsh words or mocking, guard this heart from discouragement, and help to forgive as You have forgiven us. Let Your will be done, let Your name be glorified, and let Your mercy and grace be evident in this situation. We thank You that we have access to You only through Jesus, for John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We rest in that name and that promise. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring this unspoken burden to Jesus daily in the quiet place, trusting that He hears, He cares, and He will answer in the way that brings Him glory and brings you ultimate good. We stand with you in faith, believing that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.
