We join you in crying out for mercy and we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we can approach the throne of grace. We are thankful that you have asked in His name and in His name only, for as it is written Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.
We hear the anguish in your plea that you must believe your prayer has already been answered, and we understand the weight you feel from what you perceive as malicious elements who have insulted and belittled your prayer to make themselves look good. We want to encourage you that God indeed knows the unspoken request of your heart even when you cannot or choose not to share the details publicly. In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered Romans 8:26 and He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind Romans 8:27. Jesus also taught But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly Matthew 6:6. So we affirm your decision to bring this as an unspoken request before the Lord, He knows it fully and loves you deeply.
We also want to gently encourage you regarding faith and regarding those you feel have attacked you. It is good to pray with faith, for Jesus said Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them Mark 11:24. Yet scripture also teaches us to pray according to His will, saying This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14. True faith trusts not only that God can answer as we desire, but that His answer, whether yes, no, or wait, is perfect and loving. We encourage you to continue to ask, seek, and knock with unwavering faith, but also with surrender, saying as Jesus did, not my will, but yours be done Luke 22:42, and to not be anxious but In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
Concerning those you felt mocked your prayer, even comparing it to Moses opening the Red Sea, we know how painful ridicule can be when your heart is vulnerable. We must remember that our God is indeed the God who parted the Red Sea, and nothing is too hard for Him, for with God all things are possible Matthew 19:26. At the same time we are called to guard our own hearts against bitterness and assuming the motives of others. We are taught Repay no one evil for evil Romans 12:17 and Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44 and Be careful that you don't do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them Matthew 6:1. If someone has spoken with a desire for self praise, the Lord will see it, and our part is to forgive, to entrust justice to Him, and to not let their words steal your confidence before God. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and we are to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one who is crying out for mercy. You know the unspoken request that is heavy on this heart, every detail, every fear, every hope. We ask that You would have mercy and that Your perfect will be done in this situation. We pray for strong, unwavering faith that does not waver like a wave of the sea James 1:6, but also for humble submission to Your wisdom and timing. Lord, calm the storm of anxiety and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard this heart and mind. Heal any wound caused by harsh words or mocking, and help this dear one to forgive as You have forgiven us, to not harbor resentment but to bless those who have caused pain. Let no insult turn this child away from boldly approaching You. We ask that You would answer this prayer according to Your great love and power, for Your glory, and that You would make Your presence and Your answer clearly known. Strengthen faith to continue to believe and to wait upon You, for those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength Isaiah 40:31. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.
