PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

Prosperity Under Persecution
Right Replies to Right Requests
Unstaggering Faith
We join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ and we thank you for bringing this burden to Him, for you are right that only Jesus can do this and it is only in His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. We hear the hurt in your heart over those who have mocked and insulted this prayer and who have tried to make themselves look good by belittling what you have entrusted to God, and we want to encourage you that God sees and hears all that has happened.

We are reminded that our Father knows what we need before we ask Him and that He hears even the unspoken cries of our hearts, for His Word says Before a word is on my tongue, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether Psalm 139:4 and In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind Romans 8:26-27. We take comfort that when you bring an unspoken request to Jesus, He knows every detail perfectly and He intercedes for you according to the will of God, and we join our faith with yours for that unspoken need even now.

We also hear your desire to believe that your prayer has already been answered and we affirm that faith is pleasing to God, for Jesus said Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them Mark 11:24 and Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him Hebrews 11:6. At the same time we cling to the promise that This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14, so we pray with you not only with confident faith but with surrender to His perfect will and timing, trusting that His answer will be for your ultimate good.

We want to gently encourage you regarding those who mocked your prayer, even comparing your situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. With God nothing is impossible Luke 1:37 and With God all things are possible Matthew 19:26, and the same God who parted the sea still works miracles today according to His sovereign power. Those who mock and seek self praise reveal a heart of pride, and pride goes before destruction Proverbs 16:18. We must not repay insult for insult, for Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Instead we are called to Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you Luke 6:28 and to Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you Matthew 5:44, so we pray that the Lord would soften their hearts and that you would be guarded from bitterness.

We also take comfort in Jesus teaching But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly Matthew 6:6. Your decision to keep this as an unspoken prayer before the Lord is wise and biblical, and He who sees in secret will honor your humble and sincere faith. He is close to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18 and He invites us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one and this unspoken request that You know fully, every detail, every need, every longing. We ask for Your mercy and grace to be poured out. We pray that You would answer according to Your perfect will, and give this dear one the faith to believe and to rest in Your goodness, even while waiting. Heal any wound caused by mocking and insult, guard this heart from discouragement and resentment, and help us to forgive those who have spoken against this prayer. Let Your Spirit intercede with groanings beyond words and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart. Show Your power in this situation, for nothing is too hard for You, and let Your name alone receive the glory. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Thank you for trusting us with this. We can hear how much this prayer matters to you and how discouraging it was to feel mocked when you were trying to bring something sincere before Jesus.

It makes sense you would want to pull it close and keep it unspoken for now. God does know what is on your heart even when you do not put it into words for others, and you do not have to prove the worth of your prayer to anyone else or win an argument about it.

One thing that has helped others in a similar spot is to give that unspoken prayer a quiet, private place with the Lord each day, just you and Him, without scrolling back to see what others have said about it. If the sting of those comments stays with you, it can also help to share how you are feeling with one steady, trusted pastor or mature believer in person, not to rehash the debate, but simply to have support as you keep praying.

Father, we bring this unspoken request before You in Jesus name. You see it fully and You love the one who is praying it. Grant peace in place of hurt, guard the heart from discouragement, and help our friend to rest in Your nearness and Your wise care. Give confidence to keep seeking You day by day. In Jesus name, amen.

Your earnest cry for mercy has come before the Lord and before His people, and though you now keep your petition unspoken, be assured that the ear of God hears what the lip does not utter. He who knows the heart needs no gallery of words to understand your case, for prayer in the day of trouble proves that God is a fact to the suppliant, and honest speech with God, even when it is a sigh that cannot be put into words, is heard in heaven.

You say, I must believe my prayer has already been answered. Here there is a precious truth and there is also a need for holy caution. It is true humility to take God at His word and to believe Him, and worse than presumption not to believe Him when He has spoken. If He says He will save you if you trust in the blood of Jesus Christ, then if you trust Him, He will save you. Yet faith does not dictate to God nor does it claim an answer after our own fashion. Faith says with holy boldness, Do as Thou hast said, and rejoices that God has spoken in His holiness. God has spoken, I will rejoice. The power of prayer lies not in forcing our will upon heaven, but in pleading His promise and leaving the answer to His wisdom and love. So come as Jacob did, definite and clear before God, and plead the covenant mercy shown in Christ, and then rest the matter in His hands, believing that He will do what is best.

You have felt the sting of mockers, and some have made sport of your prayer, even comparing it to great wonders of old. Do not marvel at this. Faith has ever had her foes, and often they live in the same house or worship in the same place. Our Lord Himself was mocked when He sweat as it were great drops of blood in prayer, and when He cried upon the cross. Men said He trusted in God and was not heard. Yet He was heard, though the cup did not pass. So it may be with you. Men may call you conceited or fanatical for trusting God as a child trusts a father, but take opportunities as prudence dictates to declare quietly that you believe in God, and let your life show that you trust Him. Pray for those who have insulted you rather than answer them. The best cure for the wound of mockery is to pour out your soul for those who mock, and ask the Lord to give them a great blessing and to fill them with divine love.

Calling upon God in the day of trouble brings honor to God in the very act, for it is a truthful recognition that He is, and that He is able to deliver. There is coupled with such a prayer the blessed assurance, I will deliver you. He may deliver in a moment, as when a man prayed in the prayer meeting and fell dead to sin and self and rose to new life, or He may keep you waiting that you may learn to say while you wait, God has already spoken. In either case, deal with God as you would have your children deal with you. If He is a true God, He cannot cast away the soul that trusts in Christ.

Therefore, whatever your unspoken burden may be, bring it under the light of His Word and under the lordship of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation. If it concerns any relationship or path in life, ask not merely for your desire to be granted, but for your desire to be made holy and conformed to His will, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to it is to be kept within that covenant, and every other way is to be forsaken in repentance. True prayer seeks first present peace through the blood of Christ and then future perfection in hope of the glory of God. A man is not a servant of God while he is only serving himself. It is only when he gets rid of self that he becomes truly good. So pray, not my will but Thine be done, and trust Him to answer in holiness.

We will bear you up before the throne. We do not ask God to bless what He has forbidden, but we do ask Him to have mercy upon you, to give you faith to trust Christ alone, to keep you from fear, to turn your eyes from all that would ensnare you and to quicken you in His way, to give you peace in waiting and joy that God has spoken, and to be exalted above your troubles that His glory may be above all the earth. May the Lord hear your unspoken prayer and answer it as your Father knows best, for Jesus sake.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
