PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear your cry for mercy and we join with you in lifting your unspoken request to the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father and be saved. We affirm with you that only Jesus can do what you are asking and that He is able to show us all things according to His will, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We understand the pain you felt when you perceived that others came to insult and belittle your prayer in order to make themselves look good, even comparing your situation to Moses opening the Red Sea in a mocking way. We want to encourage you that God sees and hears even when men mock. The Lord knows our unspoken prayers before we speak them, for You search me, and know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar Psalm 139:1-2 and Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me, you understand my thought afar off, you know my sitting down and my rising up Psalm 139:1-3. We are reminded that when we do not have words, The Spirit also helps our weaknesses, because we do not know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26 and that our Father who sees in secret will reward us when we pray in secret Matthew 6:6. Your decision to keep this as an unspoken request before the Lord is understood, and we trust that He who knows the heart fully knows what you need.

We also hear your desire to believe that your prayer has already been answered. We stand with you in faith, yet we also encourage you to rest that faith in His perfect will and timing. Jesus said Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them Mark 11:24 and This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14. We must ask in faith, without doubting, for He who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed James 1:6, but we also surrender to His wisdom, knowing His ways are higher than ours and His answer may come as yes, no, or wait, always for our good and His glory.

Concerning those who mocked, we must gently rebuke both the mocking spirit and any bitterness that may take root in our own hearts. God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble James 4:6 and Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall Proverbs 16:18. To use prayer or the needs of others as an occasion to look good or to seek self praise is not of the Spirit of Christ. At the same time we are called not to harbor judgment over motives which only God can see, for Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19 and Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven Matthew 5:11-12. We encourage you to release those who hurt you to the Lord and to pray for them, for Jesus said Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. With God nothing is impossible, and He did part the Red Sea for Moses, so we never mock the possibility of a miracle, but we also do not demand that God act on our terms.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with our brother or sister who is crying out for mercy. You know the unspoken burden that weighs so heavily, every detail that has been hidden from men but is open before You. We ask for Your mercy and Your perfect will to be done. Strengthen faith to believe and to trust without wavering, and guard the heart with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Heal the wound caused by mocking and insult, and help us to forgive as You have forgiven us. Keep us from pride and from seeking self praise, and create in us clean hearts that seek Your glory alone. Let this prayer be answered according to Your loving kindness and power, and help us to wait patiently for You, knowing that You care for us for we cast all our worries on You, because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this unspoken request to Jesus daily, to remain in His Word, and to trust that He hears, He cares, and He will answer in the way that is best. We are standing with you.

We hear how much this prayer means to you and how painful it has been to feel mocked for bringing it to Jesus. When something so personal is treated lightly, it is understandable you would want to keep it quiet between you and Him for a time.

Please know that holding it as an unspoken prayer does not make it any less heard. God knows what is on your heart even when you do not put it into words for others, and He welcomes you to keep coming to Him honestly and privately.

Faith in these moments is less about holding a perfect feeling and more about quietly entrusting yourself to Christ and His care, even when emotions are raw and other voices are unkind. He sees both your hope and the hurt you have experienced.

A gentle next step that may help is to set aside a brief, private time each day that is just you and the Lord, with no need to explain or defend your prayer to anyone else. You can simply tell Him what you are carrying, including the disappointment over how others responded, and rest in knowing He understands.

We are standing with you and bringing this before the Lord.

Father, we lift this dear one to You and ask for Your mercy and peace over this burden carried so deeply. Guard his heart from discouragement and from harsh words, and draw him close to Your presence as he seeks You quietly. Give him wisdom, steadiness, and confidence in Your goodness as he waits on You. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is good that you have turned to the Lord Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and no other arm that can deliver. Your cry, PLEASE JESUS HAVE MERCY, is itself a proof that the Spirit of God has been at work in you, for a really spiritual prayer for mercy can only come from those in whom the quickening Spirit has already taken up His abode.

You speak of mockers who have made a spectacle of your faith, and have scoffed at the very idea of Divine interposition, even comparing your hope to Moses opening the Red Sea. Do not marvel at this. Whatever happens to us, if our faith is the work of the Holy Spirit, we shall hold on to our trust in God. Sometimes they scoff at faith itself. They count faith itself to be a folly of weak minds. Or else they insult over one particular Christian's faith. And then men scoff at the very idea of Divine interposition. No doubt we may expect to have all the more of the laughter of the ungodly who will make a spectacle of us for our faith, but what of that? We can bear mockery and much more for His sake who died for us. Faith's foes live in the same house with her, and often the wound comes from those who should have been friends. Take up above all the shield of faith, for faith preserves from all sorts of enemies. The fiery darts of the wicked, whether they refer to Satan or to wicked men or to our own fearful hearts, this faith can quench. He that has true faith has such a shield that he will see the swords of his enemies go to a thousand shivers over it every time they smite it.

You say you must believe your prayer has already been answered, and that it must now be unspoken because man has belittled it. Hear then what true faith is. It is not a mere notion that God must do as we dictate, but a dropping down into the arms of Christ. Little faith, I must commend, because when it finds itself in trouble it betakes itself to prayer. Peter begins to sink. What does Peter do? Peter prays, Lord, save me. Little Faith knows where her strength lies. Christ forgives the unbelief, but He very graciously accepts the faith, despite its weakness. He can spy out faith when, like a lone spark, it is all but smothered under a heap of rubbish. So come with your weakness and your trembling and cry, Lord, I believe, help Thou mine unbelief. The Holy Spirit is the Creator, not of the littleness of our faith, but of our faith, be it ever so little, and our Lord acknowledges it.

God indeed knows the unspoken prayer. He hears the groaning that cannot be uttered. Yet do not let the scoffing of men drive you into a skulking place of cowards. True prayer is pleading with the Most High, spreading our case before Him, and then pressing our suit with all the arguments we can muster. Learn the prayer, Remember the Word unto Thy servant. The intention is to ask God to remember His Word by fulfilling it. We do not suppose that we can change the will of God, but we suppose that our prayer is the shadow of a coming blessing. Plead His promises. Tell the devil, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. A faith that can believe over a hungry belly is faith indeed, and God will abundantly justify all the trust we repose in Him.

But take heed also to the humility of Jacob's model prayer. When he had done what he thought to be wise, he betook himself to prayer, and he pleaded not his own worth but the mercy of God. In that way self conceit tears the chariot wheels from prayer so that it drags heavily. So imitate that humility. And remember that repentance and faith are twins, born at the same time. Faith means trust in Christ, and those who have a faith which allows them to think lightly of past sin have the faith of devils, and not the faith of God's elect. Whatever your petition may be, bring it with a heart willing to be searched and cleansed, desiring above all that your will be conformed to His holy Word. Therein He has revealed that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the union of body and life belongs within it alone. Ask not that He should bless what His Word calls sin, but ask that He should make you holy and make your desires holy.

Your prayer was answered, you say, but remember Jacob's prayer was answered, but it was not answered in the way he expected it would be. Strong faith wears the keys of Heaven at its belt, and the Lord can deny nothing to the pleadings of an unstaggering faith, yet He answers as a Father, according to wisdom and love, not according to our prescription. Pray on, and be importunate. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, and it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought. When you can plead a promise and drop that prayer into the ground with hope, your weakness shall not make it miscarry, it shall still prevail with God and bring down blessings from on high.

May the Lord quicken you in His way, and turn away your eyes from beholding vanity. May He increase your faith, and with faith give you repentance, and with repentance give you rest in Christ. Go and plead His Word, and the Lord do unto you according to your faith, and according to His perfect will in Christ Jesus.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
