We join with you in lifting this burden to Jesus, and we honor your desire to bring this only to Him, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by Him that anything is possible. You have cried out for mercy and for faith to believe that your prayer has already been answered, and that is a good and biblical desire. Jesus said in Mark 11:24, Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. And we are told in Hebrews 11:6, Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. We also remember the promise in 1 John 5:14, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. So we pray that your faith would be strengthened to trust not only that God hears, but that He will answer according to His perfect will and timing.
We understand the hurt you felt when you perceived that others were mocking or belittling your prayer, even comparing it to Moses opening the Red Sea. It is painful when a sincere cry to God is met with what feels like insult or self promotion from others. We want to gently encourage you in this, for while God does still do the impossible, for nothing spoken by God is impossible as we read in Luke 1:37, we are also called to guard our own hearts against bitterness and against judging the motives of others. In Matthew 7:1 we are taught, Don't judge, so that you won't be judged, and in 1 Corinthians 4:5 we are reminded not to judge before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Only God truly knows why another person speaks as they do, and we are called to respond differently than the world does. Jesus said in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, and in Romans 12:21, Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
We respect your decision to keep this as an unspoken prayer before the Lord, and we want to assure you that God indeed knows it fully even when no words are spoken. In Psalm 139:4 we read, For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether, and in Romans 8:26 we are comforted that the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God in Romans 8:27. You do not need to fear that keeping it unspoken will make it less heard. Your Father who sees in secret will hear and will answer.
We also encourage you to release any hurt or suspicion into the hands of Jesus and to choose forgiveness, as we are told in Ephesians 4:32, And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Do not let a root of bitterness grow where faith is meant to grow. Keep your eyes on Jesus, not on those who may have misunderstood or mocked.
We pray together now for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we have access to Your throne of grace only through Him, for Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Lord, have mercy on our dear one who is crying out to You. You know the unspoken request that weighs so heavily, every detail, every longing, every fear. We ask that You would pour out Your mercy and grace, and that You would strengthen faith to believe that You have heard and that You will answer according to Your perfect will. Help this one to rest in Your love and to trust Your timing. Heal any wound caused by harsh words or perceived mocking, and help our dear one to forgive as You have forgiven us, to bless those who may have caused pain, and to keep a heart that is tender toward You. Guard this prayer from discouragement and let no weapon formed against it prosper. We ask that You would show Yourself mighty on behalf of this child of Yours, that You would bring peace that passes understanding, and that You would be glorified in how You answer. We trust this unspoken burden into Your hands, believing You are able to do far more than we ask or think. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ, to stay in His Word, to pray without ceasing, and to believe that He who promised is faithful. Keep bringing this unspoken request to Him daily with thanksgiving, trusting that He hears, He cares, and He will act for your good and His glory.
