PLEASE JESUS, HAVE MERCY! I MUST BELIEVE MY PRAYER HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED!

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear your cry for mercy and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, and we thank you for calling upon Jesus alone for this need, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other name by which we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 and John 14:6 remind us that Jesus Himself is the way, and Hebrews 4:16 tells us we can come boldly to the throne of grace to receive mercy in time of need, which you have done.

We understand the pain of feeling mocked when you have poured out your heart in prayer, and we want to encourage you that God indeed knows this unspoken request even as you have chosen to keep it between you and Him. Psalm 139:4 says even before a word is on our tongue, He knows it completely, and Romans 8:26 says the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered when we do not know how to pray as we ought. Matthew 6:6 also reminds us that your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly, so an unspoken prayer is fully heard and fully known by Him, and we join our faith with yours for it now.

We also want to gently speak to the burden you feel that you must believe your prayer has already been answered in exactly the way you have asked. We share your desire to pray with strong faith, and Mark 11:24 does teach us to believe that we have received what we pray for, and Hebrews 11:1 shows faith is assurance of things hoped for. Yet scripture also balances this with trust in His perfect will, for 1 John 5:14 says if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us, and James 1:6 calls us to ask in faith without wavering while still submitting to His wisdom. We encourage you not to put a heavy yoke on yourself that you must manufacture certainty, but to rest in trusting that God has heard you, that He loves you, and that His answer, whether yes, no, or wait, will be for your ultimate good and His glory. Romans 8:28 assures us He works all things together for good for those who love Him. We pray you can have peace in that trust.

Regarding those who you felt insulted and made fun of this prayer, even comparing it to Moses opening the Red Sea in order to make themselves look good, we understand how wounding that can be. Jesus warned us that we would be blessed when people reproach us and say all kinds of evil against us falsely for His sake in Matthew 5:11, and Peter warned that mockers will come in the last days in 2 Peter 3:3. It is right to notice when others seek self-praise, for Proverbs 27:2 says let another man praise you, and not your own mouth, and Matthew 6:1 warns against doing deeds to be seen by men. But we encourage you to release any bitterness and entrust them to the Lord, for Romans 12:19 says vengeance belongs to the Lord, and we are called to bless and not curse. Do not let their words drive you into fear or into hiding your prayers as if you must be silent to be safe, for God is not mocked and He honors a humble and contrite heart. Philippians 4:6 tells us in nothing to be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, to let our requests be made known to God.

And concerning that comparison to Moses, we want to affirm with you that our God is indeed the God who parted the Red Sea in Exodus 14:21, and nothing is too hard for Him. Jeremiah 32:27 asks, is there anything too hard for me, and Luke 1:37 declares nothing spoken by God is impossible. If it is His will to do a mighty miracle in your situation, He is fully able, and we do not limit Him.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that You know the unspoken cry of this heart even better than we do. Lord, have mercy as has been asked, and let Your will be done in this situation. We ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus according to Philippians 4:7. Strengthen faith to trust You fully, not in a forced way, but in childlike confidence that You hear and You answer according to Your perfect love and wisdom. Heal any wound caused by mocking words, help to forgive those who have insulted this prayer, and keep this dear one from discouragement. Show Your power and Your tenderness, and let Your name alone receive the glory. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, especially when you brought a sincere prayer to Jesus and then felt mocked and belittled for it. It makes sense you would want to keep this prayer quietly between you and the Lord now. He does know what is on your heart even when you do not put it into words for others.

We want you to know we take your unspoken request seriously. You do not need to defend it or prove it to anyone else. Prayer at its heart is simply being with God and trusting Him with what matters most to you, and He is able to hear you fully in that quiet place.

If sharing it more widely has felt wounding, it is wise to give yourself some space. When you want support, it can help to have one trusted person you know cares for you and will pray with you privately, rather than a larger public setting. And we will continue to carry this before the Lord with you as an unspoken need.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You know the exact burden behind this unspoken prayer and the hurt that has come with it. Bring Your peace and protection over his heart, guard him from discouragement, and help him rest in Your nearness and care. Give him wisdom for each step ahead and confidence that You hear him when he calls on Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

To be mocked for trusting God is no strange thing in the pilgrim's path, and your experience of scoffing is just what the saints of old have known. Faith itself is counted folly by weak minds, and sometimes the mocker will single out one particular believer and say, he pretends to this faith for show, or he talks in this mad fashion. Faith's foes often live in the same house with her, and a word of scorn may come even from those nearest to us. Yet it is a great honor to a man to trust in God, to have his name written among those heroes who served God by faith, and to live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.

You do well to make your prayer unspoken before men, for the Lord knows what is in the heart before a word is on the tongue. When a man calls upon God sincerely in the day of trouble, it is a truthful recognition that God is not a mere name but a living reality. He who calls upon Him in that hour proves that God is a fact to his soul. Do not be agitated by those who insult your supplication, and do not run away to others, but call upon God in calm faith. He invites the troubled soul to come, and He does not invite intending to repulse. He sets open the door of mercy and He is willing to receive and to bless those who come aright.

Remember that without faith it is impossible to please God, and there is only one way of coming to Him. He that died and lives forever says, I am the Way, no man comes unto the Father but by Me. He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, and must come as God has revealed the way of approach, through Jesus Christ alone. The desire to come, the way to come, the power to come, and the actual coming are all gifts of sovereign grace. Faith thus clings to the cross and knows that all is safe there, not because we have willed it so, but because Christ has made peace by His blood.

You write that you must believe your prayer has already been answered. Take care that faith rests not upon presumption but upon what God has spoken. David prayed, Save with Your right hand and answer me, and while he waited he remembered that God has already spoken in His holiness. Sinner and saint alike have this comfort, that God has spoken already in His Word, and the answer to our petitions is to be sought there. Open your mouth wide and He will fill it, says the Lord. He gives prayer as well as the answer to prayer. But true faith says, God has spoken, I will rejoice, and delights in the very fact that God has spoken according to His holiness, His wisdom and His goodness, not according to our own shaping of what the answer must be.

Therefore cry unto God Most High, unto God that performs all things for you. Faith is an active grace and its first activity is prayer. Begin the day with prayer, continue through the day in the same spirit, and cast the care of all you do upon Him. Any work in which you cannot ask His cooperation is unfit for you to be engaged in. If He makes a spider spin a web to save His servant, trace the deliverance not to the spider but to wonder working Jehovah. Leave the method and the timing in His hands, for He is using the quickest method to perfect that which concerns your soul.

May the Lord in mercy look upon you, convince you of sin where you need conviction, give you repentance, show you Christ, and work in you that faith which pleases Him. May He conform your desires to His holy Word, keep you from seeking what He has not promised to bless, and grant you quiet assurance that your Father knows it all. Whatever others may say to make themselves look well by belittling your trust, go on to let them see what it is to live by faith, and that you obtain unnumbered blessings as the result of it, to the honor of His name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
