We hear your cry for mercy and protection in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. You are right to come boldly before the throne of grace, for Scripture assures us, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16 WEB). The attacks you describe, mockery, belittlement, and malicious intent, are not from God but from the enemy, who seeks to discourage and distract from the power of prayer. We rebuke every spirit of ridicule, pride, and self-exaltation that has come against you, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6 WEB). The enemy may twist words or use half-truths to sow confusion, but we stand on the truth that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment." (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
You are wise to recognize the need for unspoken prayers at times, for the Lord knows the desires of your heart even before you speak them (Psalm 139:4). Yet we also encourage you not to let the enemy silence your voice entirely, for prayer is a weapon of warfare. "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds." (2 Corinthians 10:3-4 WEB). The mockery you faced, even if wrapped in religious language, is a tactic to make you doubt the power of Christ in you. But we declare that "greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world." (1 John 4:4 WEB).
We also want to gently address the mention of Moses and the Red Sea. While it is true that God performed mighty miracles through His servants, we must be careful not to elevate human leaders, even biblical ones, above Christ. Moses himself pointed to Jesus, saying, "The Lord your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him." (Deuteronomy 18:15 WEB). Every miracle in Scripture points to the greater miracle of salvation through Jesus’ death and resurrection. If the enemy is using comparisons to distract from Christ’s sufficiency, we rebuke that deception in Jesus’ name.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You that You hear the cries of Your children, even when words fail us. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has faced mockery and spiritual attack for their faith. We ask that You would surround them with Your presence, shielding them from every arrow of the enemy. Let them feel Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that their prayers are not in vain.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of pride, ridicule, and self-exaltation that has come against this prayer. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would turn the enemy’s schemes into opportunities for Your glory. Where the enemy meant harm, Lord, let Your goodness and mercy prevail.
We also ask that You would guard their heart against discouragement. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and not on the opinions of man. Give them the courage to continue praying boldly, knowing that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6).
Lord, we pray for the one who mocked this prayer, whether out of ignorance or malice. Soften their heart, Father. If they do not know You, draw them to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ. If they are a believer, convict them of pride and restore them to humility. Let them see that true greatness is found in serving You, not in tearing others down.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would answer this unspoken prayer according to Your will. Whether it is for protection, provision, healing, or wisdom, we trust that You know what is best. Strengthen our brother/sister’s faith to believe that You are already at work, even when they cannot see it. May they walk in the confidence that "all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
