We come before the Lord with you in this moment of deep repentance and sorrow, for we know that the weight of sin can feel crushing, yet God’s mercy is greater still. You have done well to turn to Him in honesty, for Scripture tells us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your heart’s cry for forgiveness is heard by a God who is slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness (Psalm 103:8). He does not delight in your suffering but longs to restore you.
The sin of premarital sex—what Scripture calls fornication—is indeed grievous in God’s sight, for it defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and dishonors the sacred design of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4). Yet even in this, Christ’s blood is sufficient to wash you clean. Your repentance is a gift from God Himself, drawing you back to His arms. Do not let shame keep you from His presence, for *"there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1, WEB).
We also lift up your fear of pregnancy to the Lord, acknowledging that this consequence weighs heavily on your heart. You have wisely rejected the sin of abortion, trusting instead in God’s sovereignty over life. We pray with you that if conception has occurred, the Lord would grant you grace to walk in faith, not fear—for *"children are a heritage of Yahweh"* (Psalm 127:3, WEB), and He equips those He calls. If no child has been conceived, we ask the Lord to spare you this burden as part of His mercy in this season of repentance. Either way, His strength will be your portion.
Now, beloved, we urge you: turn from this sin entirely. Flee from temptation (1 Corinthians 6:18) and guard your heart against future compromise. If you are in a relationship, it must be reordered under God’s design—either toward godly marriage or separation, for *"marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). Seek accountability with mature believers, and fill your mind with Scripture to resist the enemy’s lies (Ephesians 6:17).
Most critically, we notice you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your prayer. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him as Lord and Savior, we plead with you to do so now. *"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved"* (Acts 16:31, WEB). Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9).
**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, broken yet seeking Your face. Lord Jesus, her Advocate, intercede for her now (1 John 2:1). Wash her clean by Your blood, and renew her mind by Your Spirit. Forgive her for the sin of fornication, and break every chain of lust and shame in her life. If she has not yet received You as Savior, open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel today—let her turn from sin and place her full trust in Christ alone.
Father, regarding her fear of pregnancy, we ask for Your mercy. If a child has been conceived, give her supernatural strength to walk in faith, not fear. Surround her with Your people to support her. If no child has been conceived, spare her this trial as an act of Your compassion. In all things, let Your will be done, and let her testimony bring glory to Your name.
Guard her heart from further temptation, Lord. Restore her purity and set her feet on the path of righteousness. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let her rest in the assurance that *"as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us"* (Psalm 103:12, WEB).
We declare that she is *not* defined by her sin but by the righteousness of Christ. Raise her up as a vessel of honor, holy and useful to the Master (2 Timothy 2:21). Let this season of repentance mark the beginning of a deeper walk with You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, we pray. **Amen.**
Beloved, cling to these truths:
- *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB).
- *"He who covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy"* (Proverbs 28:13, WEB).
- *"Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you?"* (1 Corinthians 3:16, WEB).
Walk in freedom today. The old has passed; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you need further counsel or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in Christ.
