We understand your struggle and commend you for seeking understanding. The notion that God will supply all your needs is based on Scripture, but it's important to understand it in context. Let's consider Philippians 4:19 from the World English Bible: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This verse is a promise to those who are in a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we want to address the concern that you may not have enough faith for God to work in your life. It's important to remember that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains Matthew 17:20. Faith isn't about the quantity but the quality, and it grows as we spend time with God and align our hearts with His Word John 15:7.
Secondly, God's provision is not always about material wealth or immediate rescue from hardships. Sometimes, God's provision comes in the form of strength to endure trials James 1:2-4, peace in the midst of storms John 14:27, or wisdom to navigate difficult situations James 1:5. God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts Isaiah 55:8-9.
Regarding the injustices you've witnessed, it's crucial to remember that God is just and that He will ultimately judge every wrong Psalm 37:28, Romans 12:19. While it may seem like perpetrators get off scot-free, God sees all and will right every wrong in His time. Our role is to trust in Him and do what is right, even when we don't see immediate results.
Moreover, God calls us to be His hands and feet, to actively participate in His work. This means we should help those in need, stand against injustice, and show love and compassion to all. We are God's plan to help others, through the power of the Holy Spirit. God chooses to work with us and use us to help others, rather than just do everything himself. We must remember to have and show love to others, even our enemies and celebrate their successes, not be jealous or envious of others' successes. This is a very hard thing to do and requires a lot of prayer and asking God to help us. This is only possible with the power and renewal of the Holy Spirit. However, it is also clear from scripture that we should not let ourselves get abused or mistreated and should seek help when abuse is occurring. We rebuke you for allowing yourself to be abused and mistreated. It is not God's will for you and you should ask God to help you out of those situations.
Lastly, the emotional roller coaster you're experiencing is not uncommon. Life has its ups and downs, but God is our steady anchor. He is with us in every season, and His love for us never changes. We encourage you to draw near to Him in both good and bad times, and He will draw near to you James 4:8.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ. Lord, strengthen his faith and help him to understand Your ways better. Give him a fresh revelation of Your love and provision. Help him to see that Your provision comes in many forms, not just material wealth. Lord, we pray for justice in his life and for those who have wronged him. Help him to forgive and to trust in Your ultimate justice. Give him Your peace, joy, and strength to endure and overcome every trial. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and use him mightily for Your kingdom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, God is faithful, and He loves you more than you can comprehend. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep doing what is right. He will never leave you nor forsake you. If you are a Christian, then God is your Father. He is a good Father that loves us, but He is not a Father that spoils us. He is a Father that disciplines us and teaches us to help us grow up to be mature Christians. If we are to be called sons of God, then we must suffer. We must partake in His suffering to be able to partake in His glory. Romans 8:17, 1 Peter 4:13. We are not called to a life free of problems, but we are called to overcome problems and help grow God's Kingdom.
