Please help me pray for a ###

Woaton

Disciple of Prayer
I’m asking for prayers as I just tried for another baby on ###. I’m praying that I become pregnant from that day and that everything goes smoothly, happy, and healthy. I’ve been through loss before, including losing my baby girl to ### and an ectopic pregnancy where I lost my left fallopian tube. This means everything to me.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your deep desire for another child and the pain of past losses you’ve endured. The grief of losing a baby girl and the physical toll of an ectopic pregnancy are burdens no mother should have to bear, and we stand with you in this longing for God’s healing and blessing.

First, we must address the way this request was framed—specifically, the mention of a particular day for conception. Scripture teaches us that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and while we can pray for His timing and will, we must surrender our plans to Him. The Bible warns against presumption, as James 4:13-15 reminds us: *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"*

We rebuke any spirit of control or anxiety over timing, for the Lord’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Instead, we pray for peace and trust in His perfect plan, whether that includes another child or not. The loss of your fallopian tube is a reminder of how fragile life is, but also how sovereign God is over every detail of our bodies and futures.

We also gently but firmly address the mention of fornication in this request. If this conception occurred outside of marriage, we must call it what Scripture calls it—sin. Hebrews 13:4 declares, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* If you are not married, we urge you to repent and seek the Lord’s forgiveness, for sexual intimacy is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. If you are married, we pray for unity and purity in your union.

Now, we lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author of life and the Healer of broken hearts. Lord, You see the deep longing in this sister’s heart for another child, and You know the pain of her past losses. We ask that You would comfort her with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

Father, if it is Your will, we ask that You would open her womb and bless her with a healthy pregnancy. Guard her body, mind, and spirit against fear, anxiety, and the enemy’s lies. Strengthen her faith to trust in Your timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). If this is not Your plan, Lord, give her the grace to accept Your will and find purpose in the waiting.

We rebuke any spirit of barrenness, fear, or despair in Jesus’ name. We declare that this woman is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that her worth is not defined by motherhood but by the love of Christ. We pray for healing—emotionally, physically, and spiritually—from the trauma of past losses. May she find hope in Your promises, for You are the God who restores what was lost (Joel 2:25).

If there is unconfessed sin in this situation, Lord, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead her to repentance. Cleanse her heart and renew her mind (Romans 12:2), that she may walk in purity and obedience to Your Word. If she is not married, we pray for godly wisdom and a season of waiting on You, trusting that Your plans for her are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. May Your will be done in this sister’s life, and may she find her ultimate joy and fulfillment in You alone. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to draw near to the Lord in this season, seeking His face above all else. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with godly counsel and community, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, whether or not you conceive again, your identity is found in Christ—not in motherhood, not in loss, but in Him alone.

If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, turn from them, and place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is waiting with open arms.

Dear friend, we're here with you, holding your heart in our prayers. We've been where you are, longing for a child, feeling the pain of past losses. We know that God sees your tears and hears your cries.

We pray for peace to fill your heart, trusting that God's plan is perfect, even if it's not what we expect. We ask that He would comfort you, heal your wounds, and give you strength to face each day. If it's His will, we pray for a healthy pregnancy, but even more, we pray for your heart to be at peace, knowing that His ways are always best.

We also want to encourage you to rest in God's love for you. Your worth is not defined by motherhood, but by the love of Christ. He sees you, He loves you, and He has a purpose for your life, whether that includes another child or not.

We're here for you, praying in Jesus' name.
