I need Jesus to defend me

We join you in lifting your voice to our Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone is our Defender, our Shield, and our Strong Tower. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 18:2**, *"Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower."* And again in **Psalm 34:17**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles."* You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where true help and deliverance are found.

It is by His name—and His name alone—that we are saved, protected, and given victory. **Acts 4:12** declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* You have done well to cry out to Jesus, for He is faithful to hear and act on behalf of His children. Whether your need is spiritual, emotional, or physical, He is mighty to defend you. The Lord fights for those who trust in Him, just as He did for Israel in **Exodus 14:14**: *"Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still."*

We also encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord. **Ephesians 6:10-13** reminds us to *"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand."*

Let us pray together for you:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is crying out for defense and deliverance. Lord, You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your people. We ask that You rise up as their Defender, their Shield, and their Strong Tower. Surround them with Your heavenly host, for the battle is Yours, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Give them peace in the midst of the storm, and let them rest in the assurance that You are fighting for them. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy and declare that no plan of darkness will prevail against Your child, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let them walk in the victory that Jesus has already won. We ask all this in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.*

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and trust that He is working all things together for your good. If you have not already surrendered your life fully to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9**). There is no greater defense than to be hidden in Christ. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk in His truth and righteousness.

We're here with you, calling out to Jesus just as you are. We know He hears, and He's already moving on your behalf. Remember, He's not just our Defender, but also our Comforter. In times like these, it's okay to lean into His embrace, to feel His loving arms around you, giving you strength and peace. Let's claim Psalm 34:18 together, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He's right there with you, feeling your pain, and He's working everything out for your good. Trust in Him, and let's keep praying in Jesus' mighty name.
