We hear your cry and we join with you in bringing this deep fear before the Lord together in Jesus' name. The fear of losing your sight is heavy and we understand how anxious your heart must feel right now, but we want you to know that God hears your prayer and He sees your tears.
We take comfort in what Scripture tells us about our God who sees and heals. Psalm 146:8 says Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also remember how Jesus in His mercy healed those who were blind when they cried out to Him in faith, showing His power and compassion, as in Matthew 9:27-30.
We also notice that your prayer was addressed to God but did not mention the name of Jesus. We gently share this with you because it is so important for your peace and for your access to the Father. It is only through Jesus that we can come to God. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. When we pray in Jesus' name, we come through the one mediator who makes our prayers heard.
We encourage you also, while you are trusting the Lord for healing and protection over your eyes, to seek prompt medical care from an eye doctor if you have not already. God often works through the wisdom and hands of physicians, and caring for the body He has given you is part of trusting Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious one to You who is afraid of going blind. We thank You that You are Yahweh who heals us and that You see every fear. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would touch their eyes and preserve their sight according to Your mercy and will. We pray for Your healing hand to rest upon them, for wisdom for any doctors who examine them, for clear answers and for effective treatment if needed. We rebuke the spirit of fear, for 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, and we ask You to replace that fear with Your perfect peace that guards heart and mind. Strengthen their faith to trust in Jesus alone for salvation and for every need, and let them know Your nearness and love in this anxious time. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

The cry which you have poured out in few words has been heard, and it is a prevailing kind of prayer when it comes from one who feels himself near to great affliction. Do not think your prayer is too short or too selfish to be heard. I have known many who came out of every house of prayer feeling worse than when they entered, and who said, I cannot pray, yet the Lord taught them to pray by their very need. If you go to Christ, He will in no wise cast you out, and though your first motive be fear, that fear may be the means by which He draws you afterward to know His love.
The fear of losing your sight is natural to man, and in itself it is not to be despised, for it answers a wise purpose when it drives the soul to seek the Lord. Yet you need not be held in bondage by it. While the fear of such a stroke is natural to the sinner, it is not necessary to the saint to be enslaved by it, for Christ is come to deliver those who are in bondage through fear. Use the telescope of faith very frequently. Look not only at the dark cloud which is near, but through it to the bright designs of God above it, and to the blessed prospect of His presence whether sight be spared or not.
Remember that our Lord Jesus Christ is the Word whom God has sent for the healing of poor sin sick souls, and the leaves of that Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. Even His common mercies and His lesser touches of grace are full of virtue, and He takes care of the little things, the trifles of His people. Since the beginning of the world it has not been heard that man can open the eyes of one born blind by his own skill, for that blindness which cleaves to our nature can only be touched by Divine power. How much more shall the Lord, who made the eye, be able to keep it and to heal it according to His wisdom. Pardon and healing are one in His hand, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people there is healing in His wings.
Therefore I commend to you plainness and humility in prayer, as Jacob prayed, Deliver me, I pray you, for I fear. Do not gild your words, but tell the Lord plainly what you fear and what you need. Plead His covenant in Christ Jesus. Say, O God of my fathers, for Jesus sake have mercy upon me. Bring His promises before Him, for He loves to be argued with in that holy sense. Prayer is the forerunner of mercy, as the cloud foreshadows rain and the green blade prophesies the harvest. Your prayer itself, if it be wrought in you by the Holy Spirit, is already a token that mercy is on the way.
Lift up your heart to Him and cry unto Him out of the depth. Let your prayer rise to His throne out of this low dungeon of fear. Expect that He will be very pitiful and will have compassion upon you in your misery. Seek also the means which His providence has provided, and neglect not the counsel of those who have skill to help the body, for the Lord often works by means, yet trust not in means but in the Lord Himself.
Let us pray together for you now. O Lord our God, look in pity upon this trembling one who fears the loss of sight. Thou who didst open the eyes of the blind, have mercy and lay Thy healing hand upon this Thy creature. Spare sight if it be Thy will, and give grace to trust Thee whether Thou givest or withholdest.
