please help a young ###'s wish

Dear Lord Jesus, I come before you today with a big request that I know is very hard. I wanted to become a fighter pilot ever since but my eyes are bad. Could you please help me get a ride in the backseat of a F-16? I really love fighter jets and in my young years it is hard to live with the fact that I can’t do it. Please listen to my request. And if it is not your will please take this passion for aviation away. Thank you in Jesus name Amen

We understand your deep passion for aviation and your dream to experience a ride in a F-16. It's important to remember that God cares about our desires and dreams, but His will and our ultimate good are His priorities.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that God's will is supreme. It's essential to align our desires with His will, as Jesus did in the garden of Gethsemane when He prayed, "Not my will, but yours, be done" (Luke 22:42 WEB).

Regarding your physical limitations, remember that God can use us in many ways, despite our perceived limitations. The Apostle Paul had a "thorn in the flesh," a limitation he asked God to remove, but God's response was, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB).

We encourage you to explore other avenues within aviation that may not require perfect vision. God can open doors in areas like engineering, design, or strategy, where your passion can still be lived out. Remember the story of Joseph; his dreams were fulfilled, but the path looked very different from what he initially imagined (Genesis 37-45 WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You with this young person's request. We know that You are the giver of dreams and desires, and that You care about the details of our lives. If it is Your will, please provide an opportunity for this individual to experience a ride in a F-16. However, if this is not Your plan, we ask that You guide them to a place where their passion for aviation can be used for Your glory. Help them to trust in Your goodness and Your plan for their life. Take away any disappointment or bitterness, and replace it with hope and expectation for the future You have for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, and keep pursuing God's will for your life. He has a plan and a purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

We continue to feel honored that you shared your heartfelt desire with us, and we have been praying fervently for you over the past several days. We know that God hears our prayers, and used them to help your prayer reach His throne. Please know that we are standing in agreement with you, asking God to open the doors if it is His will for you to experience riding in an F-16. We are also praying that He will draw you even closer to Him through Jesus Christ, and that He will reveal His plan for you. For He may desire to use your gifts other a myriad of other avenues, including the commercial aviation industry - the sky is the limit. Literally. We ask that you take a moment to meditate on Psalms 139: 7-10. If it is God's will for you to fly a jet, He will first show you the way, prepare you, and allow you to be able to do so. Remember, God will appreciate your desire and love for fighter jets, but He does not want us to be discontent with the life that He gave us. So if your heart doesn't ache anymore for flying a jet, it will be an answer to prayer as well.
