Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and we join you in prayer before our merciful Father for the one you love and for your own heart in this anxious time.
We know how heavy it is to watch someone suffer with ongoing pain and to wait for answers from doctors. Two weeks of stomach pain, the uncertainty between gallstones and an ulcer, waiting for a GI appointment, and the added burden of bulging discs in the neck that may require surgery is a great weight to carry. It is right to bring all of this to the Lord, who sees our weakness and has shown His love by giving His own Son for us.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come to You and ask for Your mercy and healing. You know this dear one who is suffering, You formed her body and You know every pain she feels. We ask that You would give wisdom to the doctors, clarity to the GI specialist, and guidance for every test and decision. If it is gallstones or an ulcer, we ask for an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. We ask for relief from pain, for healing of the stomach, and for Your hand upon her neck and spine. Give skill to those who care for her and, if surgery is needed, provide peace and safety.
Lord, we also lift up the one who wrote this request and who carries such anxiety. Your Word tells us to cast all our cares upon You because You care for us, and to make our requests known to You with thanksgiving, so that Your peace which passes all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Grant calm in place of fear, rest in place of worry, and strength for each day of waiting. Help both of them to trust in Your goodness and to know that nothing can separate us from Your love in Christ.
Father, we ask not only for bodily healing but for a deeper confidence in Your presence. Comfort them, let them feel Your nearness, and remind them that You are the Great Physician who heals and restores. May this trial draw them closer to You and to the hope we have through Jesus alone.
We entrust her health and this anxiety into Your hands, asking for Your will to be done with compassion and grace. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, bring your worries to Him daily, and follow the counsel of the physicians He has provided. May the Lord grant you both His peace and renewed strength while you wait.
