We lift up your dear one to the Lord, the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. The weight of this diagnosis is heavy, and we stand with you in faith, believing in the promise of God’s mercy and grace. Scripture reminds us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
We pray fervently for physical healing, asking the Lord to touch every cell of his liver, to remove the scarring, and to restore it to full health. May the fluid in his stomach be drained by the power of God’s hand, and may his body be strengthened and renewed. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he was healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that truth today.
Yet we also recognize that healing comes in many forms, spiritual, emotional, and physical. If there are areas in his life where repentance or surrender is needed, we pray for the Holy Spirit to bring conviction and restoration. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that he would draw near to your dear one in this time, filling him with peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage you to seek godly wisdom from medical professionals, as the Lord often works through the hands of those He has gifted with knowledge. Trust in His sovereignty, knowing that even in the waiting, He is at work. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and healed. Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your divine intervention. You are the God who heals, and we believe in Your power to restore his body completely. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You would pour out Your healing virtue upon him, that every trace of cirrhosis would be erased, and that his liver would be made new. Let Your healing flow like a river, washing away all sickness and pain.
Lord, we also pray for his spirit. If there are areas where he needs to draw closer to You, reveal them to him. Give him the strength to surrender fully to Your will, and fill him with Your peace and comfort. Surround him with Your presence, reminding him that he is never alone. We ask that You would also strengthen the hearts of his loved ones, giving them faith to trust in Your timing and Your plan.
Father, we thank You for the promise of healing, whether in this life or the next. We trust in Your goodness and Your love, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may Your will be done. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.
Hold fast to hope, dear one. The Lord hears your cries and sees your tears. Continue to stand on His promises, and do not grow weary in praying. He is faithful, and His love endures forever.
