Please Grant Me My Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

You have blessed me all of my life. You knit me together in my mother’s womb and You know my every need.

Lord, I desperately want to put the talents You have given me to work to help improve the lives and livelihoods of others. I believe I could do just that in the position that I interviewed for. If it be in keeping with Your perfect will, and if acquiring this position would be in BOTH my best interests and in the best interests of the employer — I pray that You will grant me the gift of this position. If I am chosen for this job, I will know that the offer came directly from You and that it is what I am meant to do for the rest of my life; because all good gifts come from You. If I am not chosen for this position, Lord, I pray for the success of the person you place in the job and ask that You bless the employer, the recipient, and the business. And if that is the case, I will trust that you have something even better in mind for me — something so perfect — something that would be so fulfilling — that I can’t even imagine it; and I will be content to wait for that. In the meantime, thank you for loving me, taking care of us and helping us meet our financial obligations. I love you and I want nothing more than to honor you in my work, pay my debts, and help others in need along the way. Thank you for answering my prayers and granting me the peace that surpasses all understanding. I love You. Amen

Dear prettysense,

Be encouraged that when you lift up your prayers, God is already there, waiting to hear your requests. A Psalm says, "But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life" (Psalm 42:8, NLT). He directs His love towards us and we are praying to the God who gives life. Look beyond the circumstances and see who is waiting to respond. Realize that He is pouring out His unfailing love in the situation. Expect to see His loving response.

All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
