We join you in lifting up your needs before the Lord, trusting in His provision and perfect timing. It is good that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through Him alone we have access to the Father. As Scripture reminds us, *"I will do whatever you ask in my name, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). Your faith in bringing this request before Him is pleasing in His sight.
The challenges with your car are a reminder of our dependence on God, who holds all things together. While we ask for His favor in the car starting reliably—especially in this unpredictable weather—we also pray for your trust to remain steadfast, knowing that even in delays or difficulties, He is working for your good (Romans 8:28). If this car is meant to be sold quickly and at a fair price, we ask the Lord to open that door, but we also surrender to His will, recognizing that His plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). Let this situation draw you closer to Him rather than cause anxiety, for *"don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We also notice your request about the rain. While we can boldly ask the Lord for favorable weather, we must remember that He is sovereign over all creation, and His ways are perfect—even when they differ from our preferences. Jesus Himself calmed the storms (Mark 4:39), and if it aligns with His will, He can certainly hold back the rain for your appointments. Yet, if rain comes, let it be a reminder that He is with you in every circumstance, and His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).
As for the sale of the car, we pray that the Lord would guide the process, bringing the right buyer at the right time and for a price that reflects its worth. But we also encourage you to examine your heart: Are you seeking this sale out of trust in God’s provision, or is there anxiety or greed driving the desire for the "highest amount"? Scripture warns us, *"But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil"* (1 Timothy 6:9-10, WEB). Let your motivation be pure, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
Finally, we praise God with you for His faithfulness, even before we see the answer. Let this season be an opportunity to grow in patience and gratitude, knowing that He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion (Philippians 1:6).
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their needs. Lord, You know the frustration and stress that comes with an unreliable car, and we ask for Your hand of favor to rest upon this vehicle. If it is Your will, let it start without fail in this volatile weather, and grant safe travel for every appointment ahead. We ask that You would hold back the rain if it hinders what You have planned, but even if the rain falls, let it be a testament to Your sovereignty and a reminder of Your presence.
For the sale of this car, Lord, we pray for Your divine timing and provision. Bring the right buyer quickly, and let the transaction be honest, fair, and glorifying to You. Guard our hearts from greed or worry, and help us to trust in You alone as our Provider. If there are lessons to be learned in this season—whether in patience, contentment, or reliance on You—teach us, Lord, and let Your will be done.
We thank You, Jesus, for hearing our prayers. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds as we wait on You. Let every step of this journey draw us closer to You, and may Your name be praised in all things. In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
