Please God mend our broken friendship

Father please mend our broken friendship. I wish Robert would reach out to me and talk to me. Please help him let go of all the anger, resentment, hurt, and hate he feels towards me. Help him realize that I truly care about him. I never wanted to lose his friendship and I know he is so lost right now. I wish he would just finally change his life and realize what kind of a person he is truly losing in me. I wish he would talk to me and that we could restore what is broken between us. I wish just once he would fight for me. IJNIPA

Please help him let go of all the anger, resentment, hurt, and hate he feels towards me

Why does he have these emotions towards you?  Perhaps you need to become the kind of person he can love, a lovable one.  Whenever we point a finger at someone, there are three other fingers pointing back at ourselves. Others do not get anger, hurt, and hold resentment for no reason.  If the other person does get angry, hurt, and resentment for no other reason than that we are living our lives like Jesus, then we got to pray for them and move on with our lives.  Jesus did that with the people who put Him to death.

Proverbs 4:20-27 (ASV)
20  My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21  Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thy heart.
22  For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh.
23  Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.
24  Put away from thee a wayward mouth, And perverse lips put far from thee.
25  Let thine eyes look right on, And let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26  Make level the path of thy feet, And let all thy ways be established.

We need to become more like Jesus in our lives.  The above passages tell us how to do it.  His Word, the Bible is the instruction book God has given us to lead godly lives here on earth.  The New Testament is the place to spend most of our time because of the principles and promises.
