One "standard" answer they give, is "always"..no exception, to them, ALWAYS is that every time you go through something bad, it draws you closer to God, and you wouldn't "need" God if everything is good. But I don't buy that. Sometimes, but not EVERY LITTLE THING. They take an example or 2 from the Bible, and apply it to ALL cases. Like, if I get a splinter in my finger, or have to circle for a long time to find a parking spot, how does it make me a better Christian than the Christian who got a parking spot right away? I think what they're doing, they're going by a few examples, and applying it to everything. Some things just happen to us because we're living in a fallen world. If someone slips on a bar of soap in the shower, it doesn't make them a better Christian, despite what these people tell you. {but you try to reason with them, they just double down on it.

Brother I totally agree with You. I thought something is wrong with me. Religion makes You Always feel guilty, weaker and small. God bless You. Thank You in advance for all your prayers for me.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

I am frustrated with the platitudes of other Christians who are not going through anything and all of a sudden have all the answers. You can’t possibly understand unless you've walked in the other person's shoes. If God is a perfect parent to his kids how does tormenting his kids with vague answers seem loving?
