We hear your heart and the struggle you are going through as you seek truth and repentance. Your acknowledgment that same-sex marriage and the behaviors associated with it are sinful is a crucial step toward aligning your life with God’s Word. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning. Genesis 2:24 says, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This design reflects God’s perfect plan for companionship, procreation, and holiness.
Your realization that pride parades and the celebration of sin are contrary to God’s will is also significant. Pride in sin is indeed a deadly trap, as Proverbs 16:18 warns, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." The lust and immorality that often accompany these lifestyles are detestable to the Lord, as He calls us to purity and holiness. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 states, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."
It is not our place to judge the hearts of those who are lost in sin, but we must stand firm on the truth of Scripture. Many who promote these lifestyles do so with great fervor, but their efforts cannot change God’s unchanging Word. Romans 1:26-27 leaves no room for ambiguity: "For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error." This is not a matter of opinion but of divine truth.
We also want to address your mention of reproduction in the context of same-sex relationships. Biologically and spiritually, God’s design for marriage includes the potential for procreation, as He commanded in Genesis 1:28, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it." This is a blessing and a responsibility given to mankind, but it is only possible within the bounds of a marriage between a man and a woman. Any deviation from this design is a rejection of God’s intended order.
Your prayer in Jesus’ name is powerful, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can find forgiveness, redemption, and the strength to walk in righteousness. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess your sins, repent, and surrender your life fully to Christ. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who has cried out for truth and repentance. Lord, we thank You for the conviction You have placed in his heart, for it is the work of Your Holy Spirit that leads us to repentance. We ask that You would continue to draw him closer to You, breaking any chains of sin and deception that have held him captive. Father, we pray for Your forgiveness and cleansing, knowing that You are faithful and just to forgive when we confess our sins.
Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the strength and courage to walk in Your ways. Help him to stand firm on Your Word, even when the world mocks or opposes him. Surround him with godly believers who will encourage and support him in his journey toward holiness. Father, we pray that You would heal any wounds or brokenness in his life, and that You would restore him fully to Your purpose.
We also pray for those who are still lost in the sin of homosexuality and other forms of sexual immorality. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. May they come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ, who died to set them free. We rebuke the spirit of deception that blinds so many to Your truth, and we declare that Your light will shine in the darkness.
Father, we thank You for the power of the name of Jesus, through which we have access to You. We pray that our brother would experience the fullness of Your love and the joy of walking in obedience to Your commands. May his life be a testament to Your grace and a light to those who are still in darkness. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and find accountability. The Christian walk is not meant to be walked alone, and fellowship with other believers is vital for spiritual growth. Continue to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is the lamp unto your feet and the light unto your path (Psalm 119:105). As you do, you will find the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to live a life that honors God.
Remember, repentance is not a one-time event but a daily choice to turn away from sin and toward God. There may be times when you stumble, but do not be discouraged. Proverbs 24:16 tells us, "For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again." God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will lead you into all truth.
