We hear the deep distress in your heart and stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this burden in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The dreams and disturbances you describe are not from the Lord, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and does not torment His children with confusion or fear. Scripture assures us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). These dreams and unwanted appearances are spiritual attacks meant to disrupt your peace, relationships, and focus on God’s will.

First, we must address the authority by which we pray. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all spiritual victory and peace.

Now, we take authority over these dreams and spiritual disturbances in the name of Jesus. The enemy has no right to harass you or your loved ones. We rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of confusion, and every demonic influence seeking to sow discord in your relationships. The Word of God declares that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We command every ungodly dream, vision, or appearance to cease in the name of Jesus. We bind every spirit that does not align with God’s Word and cast it out, for Jesus has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

We also address the relationships you hold dear. The Bible warns us to guard our hearts, for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). If these dreams or disturbances involve individuals who do not align with God’s will for your life, we pray for discernment and wisdom. If these relationships are not founded on Christ or are leading you away from His purposes, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and distance yourself from anything that does not honor God. The Lord desires for you to walk in holiness and purity, free from any influence that would draw you away from Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your love, Your protection, and Your sovereignty over all things. Lord, we lift up this burden of disturbing dreams and spiritual harassment. We declare that these dreams have no power over Your child, for You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. We rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of confusion, and every demonic influence that seeks to disrupt peace and unity in these relationships. We command these dreams to cease and desist, and we declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask for Your hedge of protection around this life and these loved ones. Surround them with Your angels, as You promised in Psalm 91:11, that no harm would befall them. We pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize any ungodly influences and the strength to walk away from anything that does not align with Your Word. Lord, we ask that You would fill this heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let Your presence be a shield and a comfort, driving away all fear and anxiety.

We also pray for the individuals mentioned, that if they are not walking in Your will, You would convict their hearts and draw them to repentance. If they are being used by the enemy to cause harm, we ask that You would break every chain and set them free. Father, we trust in Your justice and Your mercy. We declare that no plan of the enemy will succeed against this life or these relationships.

Lord, we ask that You would restore joy, peace, and unity. Let these dreams and disturbances be replaced with visions of Your goodness and Your purpose. We pray for godly relationships that honor You, built on the foundation of Christ. May this life and these loved ones grow closer to You and to one another, walking in the light of Your truth.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to overcome every attack of the enemy. We declare victory in Jesus’ name, for He has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and the authority of His name. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith. Memorize and declare Scripture over your life and your loved ones daily. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The enemy seeks to isolate, but God calls us to community and fellowship. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). He is faithful, and He will bring you through this season of spiritual warfare into a place of peace and victory.

We hear how exhausting and unsettling this has become for you, the recurring dreams, the feeling that unwanted people keep intruding where they don’t belong, and the deep fear of ever losing the connections that matter most. That weight can feel impossible to carry on your own, and it’s okay to admit how much you need relief right now. You’ve asked for an end to it, and we’re standing with you in that honest cry for peace.

When anxiety keeps replaying the same scenarios in our mind, even in sleep, it can help to remember that fear itself often shouts louder than the facts. The real danger is not always as big as the distress signals our body sends. So alongside prayer, one concrete step you could take is to gently redirect your focus whenever the worry surfaces: not fighting the thoughts with force, but quietly turning your attention toward something steady and good, a favorite psalm whispered aloud, a simple phrase like “The Lord is my shepherd,” or even calling a trusted friend just to share an ordinary moment. Little acts like that can begin to quiet the spinning and remind your whole self that you are safe.

If the dreams keep robbing your rest, it’s not weak to talk with a pastor or a Christian counselor. Sometimes our bodies and minds need that extra care to untangle what’s weighing us down, and there’s no shame in reaching for it. You don’t have to sort this out alone.

Please carry this assurance: the God who never sleeps is watching over you and over every relationship you hold dear. He does not abandon you to fear. Let us pray now and entrust all of this to him.

Father, thank you that you see the turmoil in our friend’s heart. Calm the racing thoughts, quiet the troubling dreams, and build a fence of peace around every cherished relationship. When the wrong influences push in, give wisdom to set boundaries and courage to stand firm. Replace dread with your steady love, and remind our friend daily that you are holding them securely, today and always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out for deliverance from these dreams, but I bid you consider whether the Lord would have you fix your gaze upon such disorderly shadows when He has given a more sure word of promise. Dreams ordinarily are the carnival of thought, a maze of mental states, a dance of disorder; they depend often upon the condition of the body, the meat and drink taken, the agitations of the mind. It is not the dreams themselves that hold power over you, but the unbelief that ruffles the waters of your soul and makes the mire rise. You plead to rebuke, reject, and bind up these night visions, yet the more you strive in your own strength against them, the more they may swarm. Stand still, and see the salvation of God. It can never be right to do a wrong thing in your desperation, nor to give credence to every vapour that passes through a sleeping brain as though it were a messenger from the throne.

Let us look at the root: these dreams are born of a fretful care over your relations. You dread that certain wrong persons will come and sever the bonds you prize. But ask yourself before the Lord, Are these bonds knit according to His holy ordinance? I grant you that business or life may compel you to be among the ungodly, for how could some live at all if they came not into contact with them? Yet if you have yoked yourself unequally in any tie that defies the Word, calling a matter of prayer that which the Scripture plainly forbids, then the true nightmare is in the waking conscience. A young man married an ungodly young woman and claimed he made it a matter of prayer; a Christian woman married an ungodly man and said the same. The dream of such a union becomes a sorrowful reality, not because God broke His promise, but because they broke His command. I do not say this is your case, but search it well. A fellowship with cousins and brothers and buddies may be a sweet mercy, but if any among them walk in wickedness and you cleave to them without witness, you invite trouble to your door.

Yet even if your conscience be clear on these points, the remedy is not in a ceaseless warfare against thoughts of the night. Feed upon the Bread of Life. You have cried for the dreams to be deleted, but your soul hungers for something more solid than the expulsion of shadows. Jesus Christ did not guard His words by saying, “I am like bread,” but He said, “I am the living bread; except a man eat My flesh and drink My blood, there is no life in him.” It would be no true feeding if the loaf sat on the table untouched. You must break it and receive Him within, not merely believing the doctrines as facts, but taking the Person of Christ into the core of your being. That hunger of your spirit, that insatiable craving for a peace the world cannot give, will never be stopped by rebuking this intruder or that; it is like endeavoring to fill a hungry man with shadows. The legalist says, “Perform such-and-such duties, frame such prayers, resist such dreams,” but this is like attempting to fill a soul with bubbles. You must have the Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. There is plain food there: let your soul eat, and you will find it sweet, satisfying, strengthening.

Set a watch, as Nehemiah did when the walls were building. Pray the Lord to guard you during the darkness, and in the morning set a guard when you go to your business. Let everyone with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, let your hours and your family be ordered with a holy jealousy. But do not watch unto fretfulness; watch unto peace. The great millstones that grind the ungodly are memory and conscience, but for those who are in Christ, the blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin and the Spirit speaks peace to the troubled heart. If these wrong persons truly plot against your household, the Lord will be a wall of fire around you. You need not live in terror of their showing up constantly; evildoers shall be as stubble, and the fire shall consume them. Your part is to labour in prayer and holy walking, not to put off your spiritual armour even in the night.

I do not despise your cry; Pilate was accessible through his wife’s dream, and the Lord may sometimes speak in diverse manners, but do not build your hope upon visions. Slow breaks the light on many a heart, yet it will break. A bruised reed He will not crush, and a smoking flax He will not quench. Go to Him with your raw plea, but let it be not a ceaseless rebuking of shadows, but a looking unto Jesus. He Himself bore our sorrows and carried our griefs; His yoke is easy. Cease from these anxious desperate words, and let the peace that passes understanding garrison your soul from the intrusions of fear. Lie down, and though you sleep, He will give to His beloved even in the night watches. The wrong and wicked shall flee in His own time, and you shall find your true relations, above all, your relation to the heavenly Bridegroom, firm and everlasting.

The ceaseless clamor of your mind fills your prayers with demands more than with supplication. You call upon God to rebuke, to bind, to delete dreams as though He were a servant to be commanded. But consider: Is it the Lord who needs rebuking, or the turmoil within you? Dreams come and go; they are shadows, not swords. Why then do you give them such power that they steal your peace and make you cry out for others to flee? The battle is not chiefly with those who appear in your sleep or who draw near your dwelling. The battle is in the heart that fears loss above all else.

You long to keep your relations close, and that is not in itself wrong. But when that desire becomes a frantic grasping, it breeds suspicion and anxiety. The Lord does not promise that no one will ever come around you; He promises to be with you in every trial. To demand that certain persons vanish forever is to set yourself as judge over souls you do not know. Let us rather examine ourselves. Do we approach God with the humility that says, “If any evil be in me, reveal it and root it out,” or with the imperious tone that lists what He must abolish for our comfort?

Perfecting holiness, this is the work set before you, and it is accomplished in the fear of God, not in the fear of troublesome dreams. Fear of God casts out all other terrors. It teaches you that no person can sever what love has joined unless you first sever yourself from the love of Christ. The reproof you aim at others might well be turned inward. When the disciples thought the traitor was an external threat, the Lord taught them to ask, “Is it I?” So ask yourself: What in me is feeding this unrest? What hidden sin or disordered affection makes every shadow seem a foe?

Cease, then, to bind imaginary adversaries with your words. Bind instead your own passions with the authority Christ gives to those who follow Him: “Rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering.” Begin by rebuking your own soul’s restlessness, then you will be able to see clearly. If there are real disruptions from those who mean harm, God knows, and your quiet trust is a stronger shield than a tempest of words. Pray not for their destruction but for your own steadfastness. Pray that love, true love, may extinguish all vice within you, for when love for God is intense, no sin, no fear, can take root.

Be not high-minded, thinking yourself the arbiter of whose presence is allowed, but fear. Fear being found outside the will of God through bitterness or superstition. The Lord knows the secrets of every heart; entrust those hidden things to Him, and do not publish your suspicions in prayers that sound more like enchantments. If you desire your relationships to endure, let them be founded on mutual holiness, not on the absence of others. For the bond that is knit by the fear of God no one can loosen. Lay aside these dreams as you would soiled garments, not by commanding God to delete them, but by refusing to lend them your attention. Fill your mind with psalms, with works of mercy, with the remembrance of His promises. Then the phantoms will cease on their own, without your needing to chase them away.

Come before the Lord as a child, not a commander. Say, “Thy will be done. Guard my heart, for I am weak. Preserve my relationships in Thy truth, and give me grace to bear whatever Thou dost permit.” A prayer offered in faith, simple, trusting, free of this feverish repetition, moves the hand of God more than all your decrees. Be still, and know that He is God.
