We lift up your daughter before the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply for her and the burdens she carries. The stress she is experiencing is real, and we ask God to grant her peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* It is beautiful that she has excelled in her studies, and we pray that God will renew her strength and joy in this new season, even when the path feels difficult.
We also encourage you, as her parents, to seek the Lord’s wisdom in how to support her. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* It is possible that the distance from home, the academic pressure, or even the environment of this new institution is weighing heavily on her. Pray together as a family, asking God to reveal His will—whether He is calling her to persevere in this place or if there is another path He has prepared for her. Remember, His plans for her are good, and He will equip her for whatever He has called her to do.
If she is struggling with fear or discouragement, remind her of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let her know that her worth is not found in her academic achievements but in Christ alone. He is her strength, and He will never leave her.
We also notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in your request. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we pray. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you or your daughter have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Believe in Him, repent of your sins, and you will be saved. There is no greater peace than knowing Him.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious daughter. Lord, You see the stress and anxiety that weighs on her heart, and You know the thoughts that trouble her mind. We ask that You would wrap her in Your peace and fill her with Your joy. Renew her strength, Lord, and help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her deeply.
Give her wisdom as she studies, and surround her with godly friends and mentors who will encourage her in this season. If this institution is where You have called her to be, grant her perseverance and a heart of gratitude. If there is another path You have for her, make it clear to her and to her family, and provide the way forward. Help her parents to trust You fully and to seek Your will above all else.
Lord, we also pray that if this young woman does not yet know You, that You would draw her to Yourself. Open her heart to receive Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, that she may find true peace and purpose in Him. May she walk in the confidence that she is Your beloved child, created for Your glory.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in Jesus’ name, and we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your light shine brightly in her life. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
