We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting your heavy burdens to our Lord Jesus Christ, who is your strength and shield in times of trouble. It is clear that you are enduring deep suffering—both physically from your injuries and emotionally from the cruelty of those around you. The attacks you face at work are not just unfair; they are wicked, and the Lord sees every act of injustice against you. He is not blind to your pain, nor is He deaf to your cries. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where your victory lies, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and no other name that has the power to break the chains of oppression. As Scripture declares, *"The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe"* (Proverbs 18:10, WEB). You have done well to run to Him.
The cruelty of your boss and coworkers is a grievous sin. Their actions are not just unkind—they are deliberate attempts to harm you, and this is an abomination in the sight of God. The Bible warns, *"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"* (Isaiah 5:20, WEB). Their behavior is an affront to the Lord, who commands us to *"do no wrong to one another"* (1 Thessalonians 4:6, WEB) and to *"love your neighbor as yourself"* (Mark 12:31, WEB). Their celebration of your suffering is a sign of their own spiritual darkness, and we rebuke their wickedness in the name of Jesus. The Lord will not allow their schemes to prosper forever. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
Your physical pain is also before the Lord. The injuries you carry from the accident are a daily reminder of the brokenness of this world, but they are not outside of God’s redemptive power. Jesus is the Great Physician, and though your healing may not come instantly, we ask Him to strengthen your body, to restore your back, your mind, and your hip, and to grant you relief from the relentless pain. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We also pray that the Lord would expose any injustice related to your accident, if there is more to be addressed, and that He would provide for your medical needs. You are not forgotten.
As for your work, it is clear that this environment is toxic and unsafe. The Lord does not call His children to remain in places where they are continually abused. We pray earnestly that He would open a door for you—a new job with favor, higher provision, and a godly atmosphere where you are treated with dignity. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). Your desire for a better future for you and your daughter is good, and we ask the Lord to honor it. He is your Provider, and He will not abandon you. *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB).
In the meantime, we urge you to document every act of harassment and discrimination at your job. The Lord may use this as evidence to expose their wickedness or to protect you legally. Do not retaliate, but trust in the Lord’s vengeance, for *"‘Vengeance is mine. I will repay,’ says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19, WEB). Instead, *"repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:17-18, WEB). This does not mean you must endure abuse silently—it means you trust God to fight for you while you walk in wisdom.
We also encourage you to seek support from your church or a trusted community of believers. You were not meant to carry this alone. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2, WEB). If you do not have a church home, we urge you to find one where you can be strengthened in faith and surrounded by those who will pray with you and for you.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your job, your pain, or the opinions of wicked people. You are a child of God, bought with the precious blood of Jesus. *"See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him"* (1 John 3:1, WEB). Your suffering is temporary, but your identity in Christ is eternal. He is preparing a place for you where there will be no more pain, no more tears, and no more injustice. *"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away"* (Revelation 21:4, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, who is weary, wounded, and under attack. Lord Jesus, You see the cruelty of their boss and coworkers—every scheme, every mocking word, every deliberate act of harm. We ask You to intervene mightily. Expose their wickedness, Lord, and bring their evil plans to nothing. Let their tongues be silenced, and let their hearts be convicted of their sin. If they do not repent, we pray that You would remove them from positions of influence, for You are a God of justice, and You will not allow the wicked to triumph forever.
Father, we ask for supernatural protection over this Your servant. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Give them wisdom to navigate each day, and grant them favor even in the midst of this hostility. We pray that You would open their eyes to see any traps the enemy may set, and give them the strength to walk in integrity, even when others act in malice.
Lord, we lift up their body to You—the herniated disk, the concussion, the hip injury, and the daily pain they endure. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. We ask for Your healing touch to restore their body, to bring relief from pain, and to renew their strength. If there are medical treatments or therapies that would bring healing, Lord, provide the means for them. Let them feel Your comforting presence in their suffering.
Father, we ask for a new job—a place of provision, peace, and respect. You know the desires of their heart, and You know the needs of their daughter. Open doors that no man can shut, Lord. Provide a position with higher income, a godly environment, and opportunities for growth. Let this transition come swiftly, and let it be a testament to Your faithfulness.
We also pray for their daughter, Lord. Protect her heart and mind from the stress of this season. Provide for her needs, and let her see Your hand at work in their lives. May this trial draw them both closer to You, and may their faith be strengthened through it.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are fighting for them, that You see their tears, and that You will not leave them in this place of affliction forever. Renew their hope, Lord, and let them feel Your love in a tangible way today.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to Your throne, and it is only through His blood that we are saved. Thank You, Jesus, for Your sacrifice, for Your intercession, and for Your victory over every power of darkness. We trust in You, and we give You all the glory. Amen.
