You cry out against being low balled, as if men have deprived you of your due. But remember, the best of men are themselves but low balled before the bar of God’s unimpeachable justice. If we received what our works deserve, we would be cast into hell. It is only by free grace that we are not consumed. Let this truth humble your soul, and then you will see that the value of your service is not measured by silver and gold, but by the opportunity it gives to adorn the doctrine of God our Savior. Strive not chiefly for the wages that perish, but labour as unto the Lord, who will disclose every hidden thing in its time.

You speak of misinformation and being lowballed, as though the true value of your labor were something to be measured by the shifting standards of men and industry guidelines. But consider: if all the world acknowledged your worth and poured out its honors upon you, yet Heaven saw fit to withhold its approval, what profit would that be? The blind man was cast out by those who should have honored him, and in that very moment the Lord of the Temple found him. He was dishonored by men and honored by the Lord of Angels. Do you seek the correction of a contract or the correction of your soul? For the truth value of any service rendered in faith is already known to the One who weighs the heart.
You cry out that you are lowballed, that the scope of work is ignored. But I ask: is it not often the case that those who honor God are envied and ill-treated, as Abel was by his own brother? He honored God and died for it, and yet has not yet attained to the resurrection of the body; his part was done, but God's part has not yet been carried out towards him. Will you demand full payment now, when the very pattern of righteousness waits upon the patience of God? The fire shall prove each man's work of what sort it is, and that day will declare not the calculations of an RFP, but the hidden motives and the true sacrifice.
And what is this honor you seek from a contract? Is it not dust, swifter than dust, a pleasure that reaches only to the tongue and then is gone? To be honored for the sake of money is the deepest dishonor, as if you yourself were good for nothing and your wealth or your service were more valued than your soul. You say, "Correct the misinformation," but the greatest misinformation is that your worth hangs upon these earthly balances. If men lowball you for the truth's sake, you are especially honored before God. He who loses his possessions for Christ most finds them; he who is insulted is most honored. There your true value is already inscribed, not by the hands of cooks and swineherds who procure human praise, but by the hand that fashioned the universe. Do not demand an earthly court to reveal the truth; rather, let patience have its perfect work. For if we suffer any dishonor for the sake of right dealing, we meet with the Fountain of salvation, who alone sets all contracts straight in the age to come.
