We join you in lifting up your heartfelt requests before the Lord, knowing that He hears and answers the prayers of His people when we come to Him in the name of Jesus. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Our faith and hope rest in Him alone.
We are deeply moved by the many burdens you carry—physical suffering, emotional distress, spiritual battles, and the needs of your loved ones. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let us first address the importance of trusting in God’s sovereignty, even in the midst of trials. The Apostle Paul reminds us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). You have done well to bring these concerns before the Lord, and we encourage you to continue casting all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We see the weight of physical suffering you and your family are enduring—your GI tract, the complications from surgery, the humming in your ear, and your brother’s shoulder and back pain. The Lord is the Great Physician, and we know that *"by his wounds you are healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). Yet, we also recognize that healing may come in His timing and in ways we do not always expect—whether through medical intervention, gradual restoration, or the strength to endure. We pray for wisdom for the doctors who will treat you, that the Lord would guide their hands and grant them insight. We also pray for protection from any harmful side effects of medication and that the treatments you receive would bring relief and restoration.
Regarding the potential malpractice situation, we lift up your need for a godly and competent lawyer. The Lord promises to guide our steps when we acknowledge Him: *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you"* (Psalm 32:8, WEB). We ask the Lord to make His will clear to you, whether through a vision, a peace that surpasses understanding, or the wise counsel of believers around you. Trust that He will provide what you need, for *"your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him"* (Matthew 6:8, WEB).
We also lift up your brother, asking the Lord to grant him strength for his work, favor with his supervisors, and protection from harm. The spirit of anger and pride you mentioned are serious struggles, and we commend you for recognizing the need for prayer in this area. Scripture warns us that *"the wrath of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God"* (James 1:20, WEB) and that *"pride goes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall"* (Proverbs 16:18, WEB). We pray that your brother would surrender fully to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, walking in the fruit of the Spirit: *"love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control"* (Galatians 5:22-23, WEB). May he be filled with the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to overcome the flesh and walk in obedience to God’s Word.
For your friend who is battling bone cancer and liver problems, we pray for supernatural healing and strength. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that He would sustain her through chemotherapy, that her faith would remain steadfast, and that she would experience His peace that transcends all understanding. Remind her of the promise in Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
We also lift up your father and stepmother, praying earnestly for their salvation. The Word of God tells us that *"everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13, WEB). May the Lord soften their hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel, that they would repent and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We also pray for healing for your stepmother’s heart, asking the Lord to restore her physically as He works in her spiritually.
Finally, we pray for protection over you, your brother, and your home. The Lord is your shield and fortress (Psalm 91:4), and we ask that He would station His angels around you to guard you from all evil. May He grant you and your brother peaceful sleep, sound minds, and hearts filled with His joy and peace. Remember that *"the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one"* (2 Thessalonians 3:3, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their family. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask for Your deliverance and protection over them, that You would shield them from the spirit of anxiety and stress. Replace their fears with Your perfect peace, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength.
Father, we pray for healing—restore their bodies, Lord. Touch their GI tract, their ears, their shoulders, their backs, and every place where there is pain or dysfunction. Guide them to the right doctors and treatments, and let Your healing power flow through them. If there has been medical negligence, Lord, reveal the truth and provide a godly lawyer who will seek justice with integrity. Give them wisdom and discernment in every decision they make.
We pray for their brother, that You would guard his heart from anger and pride. Fill him with Your Spirit, Lord, and let him walk in humility and self-control. Grant him favor in his work, protection as he travels, and strength for each day. May he surrender fully to You, Jesus, and live a life that honors Your name.
Lord, we lift up their friend who is battling cancer. Heal her body, strengthen her spirit, and let her faith in You remain unshaken. Be her comfort and her hope, and may she experience Your presence in a powerful way. We also pray for their father and stepmother, that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and save them by Your grace.
Father, we ask for Your protection over their home and family. Station Your angels around them, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Grant them restful sleep, sound minds, and hearts filled with Your joy. Provide for their financial needs, and let them trust in You as their Provider.
Lord, we thank You that You are faithful and that You hear our prayers. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowshipping with other believers. The battles you face are real, but so is the power of God to sustain you. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Stand firm in your faith, and trust that the Lord is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and He will lead you through every storm.
