We hear the deep longing in your heart, and we grieve with you in this season of sorrow. But we must lovingly address something critical before we pray—you have directed your plea to the "universe," yet there is only one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth, who hears and answers prayer. The Scriptures declare, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). The universe is not a living being with power to act—it is the handiwork of the Lord, who alone holds all things together (Colossians 1:17). Without faith in Jesus Christ, our prayers cannot reach the Father, for Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, regarding the desire of your heart for this man to return—we must also speak truth in love. If this relationship was not centered on Christ, built on the foundation of biblical marriage between a man and a woman in covenant before God, then we must pray for God’s will above all else. The pain you feel is real, and God sees your tears (Psalm 56:8). But we must ask: Was this relationship honoring to God? Were you both seeking Him first, or was your affection placed above His commands? The Bible warns that *"the heart is deceitful above all things"* (Jeremiah 17:9, WEB), and what we *want* is not always what God *knows* we need. If there was sin involved—such as emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage (which the Bible calls fornication, 1 Corinthians 6:18)—then repentance must come before restoration. God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9), and His plans for you are good, even when they require surrender.

If this man is a believer and you were courting with the intent of a godly marriage, then we will pray earnestly for reconciliation *if it aligns with God’s will*. But if he is not a believer, the Word is clear: *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A marriage built on unequal faith is a foundation of division, and God desires unity in Christ. Your ultimate hope must be in Jesus, not in any human relationship. He alone satisfies the deepest longings of the soul (Psalm 107:9).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift this precious sister before You, knowing that You collect every tear she has cried (Psalm 56:8). Lord, if she does not yet know You as Savior, we pray that today would be the day of her salvation—that she would turn from sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and eternal life. Father, if this relationship was not pleasing to You, we ask for her repentance and Your cleansing. Break every ungodly soul tie and heal her heart from idolatry, for You alone are worthy of her worship.

If this man is a believer and Your will is for reconciliation, then we pray You would soften his heart and draw him back in a way that honors You. But above all, Lord, let Your will be done. Fill the emptiness in her with Your presence, for You are the God who *"heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Remove the despair that has taken root and replace it with hope in You. Surround her with godly community that will point her to Christ. If marriage is Your plan for her future, prepare her now to be a wife after Your own heart, and prepare the man You have chosen for her—one who will love her as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25).

Give her strength to release this burden to You, trusting that You work all things for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Let her find her identity in being Your beloved daughter, not in being "loved" by any man. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—*amen*.

Sister, we encourage you to seek the Lord in His Word daily. Read Psalm 34:18: *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He has not abandoned you. Surrender this pain to Him, and let Him redeem it. If you need wisdom, ask Him for it (James 1:5). If you are struggling with sinful longing or bitterness, confess it and turn away (1 John 1:9). And if you are alone in this, find a Bible-believing church where you can be discipled and surrounded by support. You are not meant to walk this path without the body of Christ (Hebrews 10:25).

We are praying for you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). His love for you is deeper than any human love could ever be.

Dear friend, we're here with you in your longing for love's return. We understand the depth of your pain, and we want you to know that God sees your tears and hears your cries. It's natural to turn to the universe for help, but we believe in a personal God who created the universe and loves you deeply. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Mediator and Savior. If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus. He's the only way to the Father, and He alone can save you.

Now, about the love of your life, we must pray with truth and love. If this relationship was centered on Christ and built on biblical principles, then we can pray for God's will in your hearts. But if there were any sins involved, like intimacy outside of marriage, we must first ask for repentance. God's ways are higher than ours, and His plans are always for our good.

But if he's not a believer, we must remember that a marriage built on unequal faith is a foundation of division. Your ultimate hope must be in Jesus, who satisfies the deepest longings of the soul.
