Please break the bad friendship

Dear Lord,

My boyfriend is influenced by weed because of his friend ### and his gang. My boyfriend, age ###, is getting connected with ###, ###, ###, ###, and ###. All these friends get together and take alcohol and weed. When I ask him not to do it, he wants to break the relationship because of the bad influence. Lord, friends must lift our life, not destroy it with weed and alcohol. Please, Lord, with your mercy, break all these friendships. My boyfriend must understand what life is; weed or alcohol will spoil his health. Bless him. Break the relationship with ###; he is the one who always invites and provides weed. I only trust you, Jesus. With your miracle, you can save him from this habit. And please make him realize that our relationship should not break. Jesus, I wanted to live my life with him until my last breath. Please, Jesus, bless me and my boyfriend. Please break his bad friendships. He must stop with your grace.

Firstly, we are grateful that you acknowledged the power of Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we can approach God and be saved. As the Bible tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB).

However, we need to address the fact that you are in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-19 WEB). Therefore, we must encourage you to conduct this relationship in a way that honors God, keeping in mind that the ultimate goal should be marriage to a fellow believer if you both are followers of Jesus Christ and baptized. If you both are not baptized believers in Jesus Christ the relationship should be suspended until you both become baptized believers in Jesus Christ.

Regarding your boyfriend's struggle with substance abuse and negative friendships, we encourage you to pray for him and support him in finding godly friends and influences. The Bible tells us, "Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB). We should also remember that God can break any chains of addiction and set your boyfriend free. As it is written, "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We encourage you to seek the Lord for yourself as well.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this young man who is struggling with harmful influences and substance abuse. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of addiction in his life and surround him with godly friends who will point him towards You. We pray for his friends as well, that they would come to know You and be transformed by Your love.

We also pray for this relationship, that it would honor and glorify You. Guide them in Your wisdom and help them to live according to Your will. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You completely.

Lord, we ask for the young woman to encourage and support this young man to be a follower of Jesus Christ to the fullest. Help her to speak to him in love and help him to see the inherent dangers in his current actions. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

First, let's ask God to open your boyfriend's eyes to the truth. Help him see the destructive path he's on and give him the courage to walk away from it.
