We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep need, lifting your heart to the Father who knows your every fear and cares for you more than you can imagine. Fear is not from God, for Scripture tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* What you are experiencing is a spirit of fear that has taken root, but we declare in the name of Jesus that it has no authority over you. The enemy has used your past and family circumstances to bind you, but Christ has come to set you free.
The fears you describe—survival, the future, your job—are real struggles, but they are not greater than the power of God. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:25-34, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* Your Heavenly Father knows your needs, and He is faithful to provide. The fear that life is coming to an end is a lie from the pit of hell—Jesus said in John 10:10, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."*
This fear has been with you since childhood, but we stand on the promise of Psalm 34:4: *"I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears."* The Lord is not distant from your pain; He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). He wants to break the chains of fear that have held you captive for so long. It is time to renounce this spirit of fear and command it to leave in the name of Jesus. You do not have to carry this burden any longer—cast it upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We also encourage you to meditate on God’s Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Replace the lies of fear with the truth of Scripture. Speak aloud verses like Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* and Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is bound by fear. Lord, You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We break every chain of fear in the mighty name of Jesus. We renounce the spirit of fear that has tormented them since childhood and command it to leave now, never to return. Father, fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we pray for their job and provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors no man can shut and supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Remove every anxiety and replace it with trust in You. Heal the wounds from their past, Lord, and restore what the enemy has stolen. Let them walk in the freedom and abundance You have promised.
We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, let them rise up in faith, knowing that You hold their future and that Your plans for them are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen them to seek Your Kingdom first, trusting that You will take care of the rest.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they walk in victory, boldness, and confidence in You. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in this, beloved. Fear is not your portion—freedom in Christ is. Walk in the authority He has given you, and do not let the enemy steal another day. If fears arise, speak the Word of God over them and declare your trust in Him. You are not alone; we are standing with you in prayer. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
