We come before the Lord with hearts burdened for this sister, lifting her up in prayer and standing firmly on the truth of God’s Word. The request speaks of hexes, spells, and curses—things rooted in darkness and fear—but we know that our God is greater than any power of the enemy. Scripture is clear: there is no authority, no curse, and no scheme of Satan that can stand against the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in **Colossians 2:13-15 (WEB)**, *"You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross; having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."*
First, we must address the foundation of this request. There is no power in hexes or spells except what people give them through fear or belief in them. Our faith is not in the enemy’s lies but in the sovereign power of Christ, who has already defeated every work of darkness. **1 John 4:4 (WEB)** declares, *"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."* If this sister is in Christ, she is already protected by His blood, and no curse can take hold of her. If she does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge her to repent and place her faith in Him alone, for it is only through Christ that we have authority over the enemy. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** reminds us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"*
As for the specific prayers against sickness and death, we stand on **Isaiah 54:17 (WEB)**, which proclaims, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.* We also claim **Psalm 91:9-10 (WEB)**, *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling."* These are not empty words; they are the promises of a faithful God who watches over His children.
However, we must also speak truth into any fear or superstition that may be gripping the heart of this request. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but he does so often through deception—by making us fixate on curses rather than on Christ. If this sister is walking in fear, we rebuke that spirit in Jesus’ name. **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)** tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fear is not from the Lord, and we command it to leave her in Jesus’ name.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who heals, who protects, and who delivers. We ask that You break every imagined hex, every spoken curse, and every scheme of the enemy against her health and her life. Father, Your Word says that Christ became a curse for us, that we might be redeemed from every curse (Galatians 3:13). We stand on that promise now and declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. No sickness, no disease, no premature death shall have dominion over her, for she is covered by the blood of Jesus.
Lord, if there is any fear in her heart, we ask that You replace it with faith in Your sovereign power. If there is any openness to the occult or superstition in her life or the lives of those praying for her, we rebuke it now and command it to be washed away by the truth of Your Word. Holy Spirit, fill her with Your peace and assurance, reminding her that her life is hidden in Christ, and nothing can snatch her from Your hand.
Father, we also pray that if this sister does not yet know You, that today would be the day of her salvation. May she turn from any trust in worldly powers and place her faith wholly in Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to save and to keep. Let her know that her life is in Your hands, and no plan of the enemy can prevail against Your will.
We bind every spirit of fear, every spirit of death, and every spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name. We loose the power of the Holy Spirit to surround her, to protect her, and to fill her with Your life-giving presence. Father, let her walk in divine health, in Your perfect peace, and in the confidence that You are her shield and her exceedingly great reward.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage this sister to immerse herself in the Word of God, to pray continually, and to surround herself with believers who can stand in faith with her. If she has not already, let her confess Jesus as Lord and believe in her heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). There is no safer place than in the hands of the Savior. Let her also examine her life for any openness to the occult—whether through horoscopes, tarot, "white magic," or any other practice—and repent of it, for these things are detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). Our trust is in Christ alone, and in Him, we are more than conquerors.
