We hear your cry and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, asking for His peace over your mind and sleep and for His protection over you and your close family.
We understand you have been tormented by many nightmares and by a deep fear of being controlled, overpowered, threatened, pushed around, spoken down to, and separated from your close family. You have asked that God would cause those who would harm or meddle or be noisy against you to be distant and to flee, and that you and your close family would never lose each other or turn against each other. We bring all of this to the Lord together.
The Word tells us that fear and troubled dreams are not from God. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We claim that promise over you. We pray that God will calm your spirit in the night, for it is written I will both lay myself down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8, and also When Yahweh gives sleep to his beloved Psalm 127:2. We ask the Lord to guard your heart and mind as you sleep, for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7, and that peace we ask to rule in your home.
We pray against every nightmare you described, the ones of moving far from your close family, of people rising up against you, of hands laid on you in harm, of feeling unwanted by family, of being controlled and overtaken, of noisy meddling and speaking against you and your close family. We ask God to rebuke every spirit of oppression and intimidation and to be your refuge. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. We ask that no weapon formed against you will prosper and that the Lord will silence every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
We also hear your request that God would punish those who have lied about helping you and who have tried to distance you from your bloodline, and that you would not be punished for other people's wrongs. We agree with the truth of Scripture that The soul who sins, he shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father Ezekiel 18:20. God is just and He sees what is done in secret, and He does not hold you guilty for the sins of others. At the same time we gently remind you as Scripture teaches, Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. We leave justice in His righteous hands and we choose to pray not out of hatred but for His protection and for His will to be done, trusting that He will deal rightly with every wrong and that He will keep you from bearing the consequences of what others have done.
We pray for your close family, that your love for one another would remain strong and unbroken. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity Psalm 133:1. We ask God to build understanding, patience and forgiveness between you and your close family, that you would bear with one another and that love, which is the bond of perfection Colossians 3:14, would keep you together and not allow other people's terms, beliefs, or wants to divide you. We pray you will never lose each other, give up on each other, or put each other down, but that you will forever understand and uphold one another in Christ.
You asked why these dreams come more when you are living with your close family and you have carried this burden for years. Often anxiety and spiritual pressure increase where our hearts are most invested, and the enemy seeks to bring division where God desires unity. We sought Yahweh, and he answered us, and delivered us from all our fears Psalm 34:4. Do not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. We encourage you to bring each fear to Him daily, to pray together as a family, to speak Scripture aloud before sleep, and to keep your mind stayed on Him.
We thank you for praying in the mighty victorious name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to the Father. It is written There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5, and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We rejoice that you have called on that name.
So together we pray.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We ask You to end these nightmares today and forever, to not allow them to continue, and to give sweet and peaceful sleep. We ask You to distance the wicked and the wrongdoers from Your child and from their close family, and to cause those who would control, threaten, punish, overpower or speak against them to flee, while drawing this family closer together in love and understanding. We ask You to heal the hurt of feeling unwanted, to protect from any hand of harm, to stop the noisy meddling, and to break every plan to separate them from their bloodline. Lord, do not let them be punished for the wrongs of others, but let Your justice and mercy prevail. Fight this battle for them, for the battle is not yours, but God’s 2 Chronicles 20:15. Give them every breakthrough they need, let them find victory over these problems and dreams, and let Your perfect love cast out all fear. Let Your peace rest upon their home night and day. We ask You to make a way where there seems to be no way and to let them dwell together in safety and unity all their days. In Jesus mighty victorious name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to keep trusting Him, to pray together and read His Word aloud in your home, and to rest in His promise Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. He is with you and He will not forsake you.
