We hear the heaviness and fear in your heart and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord together in Jesus name. You are longing for safety, for unity with your close relations, for an end to wrongdoing and evil, and for peace from troubling dreams and situations you have faced many times before. We understand how urgent this feels as you ask God to answer quickly and to end these things today.
We want to encourage you that God hears the cries of His people and He is our refuge. Psalm 34:17 says The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Also 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Those repeated dreams and the fear of being taken away can bring great anxiety, but God desires to guard your heart with His peace as you trust Him.
We also want to speak with love and truth about some of what you have asked. You ask that God would remove those individuals and not you, and that He would stop them from doing more wrong. It is right to pray for protection and for wrongdoing to end, and for evil to be restrained, for 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. Yet we must not pray from a heart of vengeance or ask God to harm others, but rather entrust justice to Him. Romans 12:19 says Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Instead we pray that those who have done wrong would be convicted, repent, and turn from their ways, and that God in His justice would stop any further harm. We pray for your protection and for theirs as well, that all might come to repentance.
And regarding your fear about the police or being taken away from your relations, we pray for your safety and for unity in your family, for Psalm 133:1 says See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity. At the same time we must remember what Romans 13:1 teaches Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. If authorities are involved, we are called to respect them and to walk in honesty and obedience to the law, trusting that God is sovereign over every situation and that He can protect and provide even when we feel vulnerable to outsiders or evil influences.
We notice you called upon the Lord, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because there is no other way to come to the Father except through Him. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, forgiveness of sins, and assurance that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to believe on Him, confess your sins, and follow Him, for He died and rose again to bring us near to God.
So together we pray for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is afraid and burdened. Lord, You see every detail, every person involved, every dream and every past situation that has caused pain. We ask in Jesus name that You would pour out Your perfect peace that surpasses understanding and guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Remove fear and replace it with power, love and self-control. We pray for protection over this life and over all close relations, that You would keep them united and reunited in unity and love with no division, and guard them from every outsider, every wrong person, and every evil thing. Lord, we ask that You would stop all further wrongdoing, bring conviction where there is sin, and bring repentance and change to those who have done wrong, that they may turn from evil and do what is right. We entrust all justice to Your hands and ask that Your will be done. If there are legal matters or authorities involved, give wisdom, favor, and protection, and help this dear one to walk in truth and obedience before You and before the law. We pray that troubling dreams would cease and that nights would be filled with Your rest and assurance, for You give sleep to Your beloved. Above all we pray that this dear one would know Jesus Christ more deeply, trust fully in His name for salvation and access to You, and experience Your faithful deliverance. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer through Jesus, to read His Word, to walk in what is right and honest, and to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer near you who can support you and your relations. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He is faithful to guard you from the evil one as you abide in Him.
